2. Artist name
• Panacea – a cure for all difficulties or illness.
• This reflects the genre as it is fun and will
hopefully act as a cure for boredom or lack of
excitement.
3. Track listing
• The track listing on my digipak follows –
• Pluto
• Bad Timing
• Handshake
• Ocean’s eye
• Gimmie Something
• Beachy Head
• Islands
• Goodbye
4. Pluto
• This is the song we created a music video for.
Pluto is a planet in space, something
considered abstract and far away from Earth.
This reflects the genre of music as it is ‘new’
and abstract compared to traditional music as
this is electronic and unique.
5. Bad Timing
• As our album is aimed at young adults, a time
of change in a persons life, this track is meant
to relate to their struggle in this change, but
also seems a little quirky as it calls it ‘bad
timing’, basing troubles on timing rather than
their own faults
6. Handshake
• I see this to represent the positive presence in
the album as a handshake is a formal and
polite greeting, and placed at the start of the
album is a reflection of a polite greeting into
the album and also reflects the positive
attitude shown in the genre of music.
7. Ocean’s Eye, Beachy Head and Islands
• These songs all feature the same idea/concept
of location. They all essentially relate to a
beach or something close. These are places
known to be positive and fun which again
reflects the genre of music to be happy and
fun. This can also be seen to reflect locations
such as Ibiza, places where this genre is played
and will remind audiences of this.
8. Gimmie Something
• This is a quirky title as it has an informal
spelling of the way of saying ‘give me’. It also
highlights the way slang is used by younger
generations, who happen to be the target
audience of this genre and album. Gimmie
something also points out the longing for
something, which is commonly felt in young
adults who have just started
work/relationships etc.
9. Goodbye
• This song ends the album and is shown by the
synonym of farewell. It can be interpreted in
many different ways, but the way that I aim to
present this to my audience as a positive way
of ending the album and saying thank you for
listening.
