Can they be used for language skills?
• We can introduce blogging as some skills to manage our blog. These include
the process of writing, posting, and linking. Likewise, we share content easier
in the web by blogging.
Blogging
• Why is blogging so popular?
 it is easy to update. It will be updated once bloggers decide to change or
modify it anytime.
You can enjoy interactive content. Your visitors can comment about your
blog and you can reply them.
Blogging
• Blogging for educational purposes
A list of benefits:
1. As a teacher, you can keep the class on, outside the classroom.
2. Sharing knowledge and information, is easier.
3. Because of updated feedback, the accuracy of outcomes is significant.
4. Collaboration and cooperation of students are increased.
Blogging
• Microblogging is a special blogging in which we use concise, short, and
instant messages to address our point. In this communication platform, we
also use images, GIFs, links, infographics, videos, and, audio clips to make a
quick interaction.
Microblogging
• The benefits of microblogging:
1. It’s so easy to create. It takes minutes to write up and post.
2. We can earn money with microblogging.
3. We can keep in touch with our visitors all the time.
4. It fits for our cellphone, and we call it “mobile friendliness”
Microblogging
• Microblogging for educational purposes
1. Microblogging allows teacher to form a community in the class. This
community provide an opportunity to collaborate and cooperate between
teacher and student and even among students.
2. Student and teachers can set polls to choose appropriate subject for
initiating.
3. Global audience can motivate students to learn better.
Microblogging
• “blogging is authentic” in this purpose, teacher can teach writing and reading
in the authentic context.
• Spelling structure, writing voice, vocabulary and tenses are discussed and
taught by blogging.
• Blogging suggests purposeful and challenging writing that it can be
motivated our students.
Can they be used for language skills?
• In addition, tweeter as a microblog can spread news in the speed of light. Teacher
will be able to provide instant feedback to student by this feature. In this vein,
tweeter facilitates the process-oriented learning.
• Microblogging also provides small group discussion that is the best way to make a
constructive discussion and promote the communication skill of students.
• Parry(2008) mentioned that tweeting can also improve the grammar of students,
because they try to say their intention with a few words and they have to elaborate it
in the proper grammar.
