The document discusses the application of blogging and microblogging in English as a foreign language (EFL) contexts. It outlines several advantages of using blogs and microblogs for language learning, such as increasing student motivation for writing, enhancing teacher-student interaction, and developing students' technology skills. Blogs are described as longer form self-published writing, while microblogs like Twitter allow only short posts. Microblogging is suggested to be particularly useful for EFL learners as the short post format does not require advanced language proficiency. The conclusion recommends microblogging over blogging for communication and feedback in EFL contexts.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. Blogging
Blogging refers to self_published online writing.By accessing to an
internert connection it is possible to create and update a blog. These
days because of the pandemy of covid-19 the the need for improving
online teaching is felt more than any other time.
Most learners can easily use blog because it dose not need sophisticated
IT knowledge. In the context of EFL blogging has been used as a
language learning tool.
blogging has some advantagouse in EFL context which I will mention
them in next slides.
3. Some advantagouse of blogging in EFL context:
Blog can increase students’ motivation for writing.
Blogging can upgrade the interaction and communication between
teachers and studends by providing a writing environment.
Some learner are not confident enough for face to face interaction with
their theacher or classmate so blogging can enhance their confidence
and improve their participation.
It develops students’ skill of using technology.
Blog provide an interesting, engaging, and more cooperative
atmosphere which motivate students for more participation.
In this way studends have exposure to other students opinion and they
can learn from each other.
4. Some advantagouse of blogging in EFL context:
By keeping a blog students should take the responsibility og their
writing thus learners become more autonomouse.
By blogging reading and writing skills of students can improve.
According to Fageeh (2006):
Writing on the blogs made students pay close attention to the formal
aspects of writing, both in terms of word choice, structure, and word
spelling, attending to sentence and paragraph structure as well as
adapting academic style, register and appropriate lexicon. According to
some researchers blog improve language learning opportunities.
5. The difference between blogging and
microblogging:
1-A blog is created by a user base on some informational posts. There is no
limitation about the lengh of the posts in a blog.Micriblog,on the other
hand is short post that users share on microbloding platform like
Instagram or twitter.
2-Blog post can be published at the blogger’s or website but microblogging
websites should be upgraded frequently.
3-Microblogging is easier to get start with rather than blogging because it
is more restricted.
4-Blogs are much more information rich than microblogs.
6. Some advantagouse of microblogging in EFL
context:
Microblogging can foster learning by providing communication
opportunity between students and teachers.
Microblogging services like twitter dose not require advanced language
proficiency so they can enhance creative writing.because in
miroblogging lengh limitation exist so learnnres should be selective
about the word choice.
Vocabulary knowledge of learners enhance by writing more creatively
through microblogging.
7. concluion
In my opinion in the EFL context microblogging is more effective
because learners can communicat with their teacher and other
classmate in the real time.for examole learner can get feedbacks from
the tutor or even other learners simultainiously when they write about
something. And as I mentioned before microblogging dose not require
advanced language proficiency so may be it is more suitable for
beginner .
