Open-Ended Responses
I Love CWU
I am overall satisfied with CWU education.
I plan to complete my bachelors and masters degree at CWU. Although I have never purchased
products with CWU logo, I do have a CWU sticker on my water bottle that I carry with me
everywhere.
Several things have led me to not be a fully loyal customer, but for the most part CWU is a great
school.
CWU does not offer the Master's degree I want and that is why I am not brand loyal, I will go to
another school after CWU. I am proud to attend CWU and wear CWU clothing. There is
emotional loyalty, but not enough to stay for my Master's.
I don't buy into School superiority, For me it is a personal decision and one that I made based
on my level of annoyance with friends and their constant bickering about which school is better.
CWU was the only school I truly had interest in as a senior in High School. Though I had gone
to visit many other colleges for some reason I always wanted to attend CWU.
It would be nice to have more of the CWU logos in stores and other shops so other people can
buy it them selves
I have been very frustrated with the transfer from Edmonds Community College to CWU. The
handoff was not cohesive.
As the son of person that also attended CWU (my father), it's safe to say that CWU runs
through my blood. I am a dedicated, loyal Wildcat and wouldn't have it any other way! GO
WILDCATS!
Everything above is based off my interactions with my instructors and from purchasing books
from the book store.
I have already completed one Bachelors degree at CWU, and am now on my 2nd and pursuing
a 3rd. I definitely am loyal to CWU. I will be sad when I have to take my Masters and Doctorates
elsewhere. The environment at CWU is always welcoming.
I wish the drinking fountain in the weight room was cold and that the nets on the hoops were
replaced when they ripped....I pay for it Also lockers should be fixed when broken and
equipment should be replaced when worn out.
My brand loyalty stands with Washington State University and always will, Central Washington
University hasn't done enough to build that kind of culture yet where people feel a deep
connection and sense of pride.
This being my first quarter at CWU, I feel mostly neutral at this time. This will certainly change
as I progress through to completion of my major.
So far I have enjoyed all the help from the staff in becoming a student at CWU.
As a third quarter "consumer" of CWU, my only issue is its "customer relations" with its remote
consumers (Lynnwood campus) and the availability and ease of purchasing its
products(TEXTBOOKS). My experience has not been that pleasant with ordering my textbooks
required for classes.
I think it's hard to be brand loyal to a smaller college if your family has ties to bigger universities
like UW. I'm also a huge sports fan and I follow UW sports over CWU sports.
After reading the assign.

(Leaving out students who take
most classes online) and have focused more on profits and
implementing bad products for
online students. For instance, many instructors are requiring
the use of the Respondus
Lockdown browser, which at its core code, is a University
instituted computer virus, and a badly
coded one at that. Basically this program locks you out of your
computer except the browser
itself, and I assume its so that you cannot use the internet for
tests. I can understand why
teachers wouldn’t want this to happen, but I must point out that
not every answer is available on
the internet. not only that, but an online class by its very nature
is an open book test
environment. I will point out something to get around this
5. program, the first and easiest of
which is to just have two computers. Or some students have
smart phones, which will allow the
same thing. Instead, teachers need to create their own questions
for tests, use more essay
type questions instead of multiple choice, and use time limits on
the tests themselves. CWU
doesn't care about online students however, so I fear nothing
will change.
