My Target
Audience
Why am I using Acorn™ to help with my target
audience research?
 In previous posts, I have explained how
Acorn™ is a valuable asset in researching
habits, categories, and lifestyles of
audiences. Since professional businesses
use Acorn™, I believe by me using it too, I
will achieve industry standard results.
 Acorn’s method of categorising audiences is
not only in depth, but it covers so many
different topics, which makes the audience
very realistic and gives me more angles to
approach them.
What category is the best for my product?
 I believe the student section is the best for my product; most of my
responses on my questionnaire I received were from people aged 10 to
20. This means that my audience is likely to still be in education, and
around many other people of the same age. The studies done by Acorn
show that these types of people are more likely to have internet enabled
phones, and less likely to have high BMI. Results like this could affect my
product, such as how I advertise it.
Acorn’s further research into
the category
 Because my target audience will
be such avid users of the internet,
I believe that web marketing is a
very wise decision to market my
product.
 Furthermore, distribution could
stretch to the web, with websites
such as Vimeo or YouTube.
