2. INTRODUCTION
Expo 2020 is an exhibition that‘s going to be
held in Dubai in 5 years
Expo 2020 will attract thousands of people
to Dubai which means more cars
The usage of cars during expo is going to
harm the environment and the solution is:
hybrid cars
3. WHAT ARE HYBRID VEHICLES?
A hybrid vehicle is a vehicle that
relies on two or more power sources
to move. The term “Hybrid Vehicle”
most commonly refers to “Hybrid
Electric Vehicles” (HEVs). A hybrid
electric vehicle combines an internal
combustion engine and one or more
electric motor. For example, diesel-
electric trains which are powered by
both diesel engine and electric motor.
5. THREE TYPES OF HYBRID
VEHICLES;
1.Full Hybrid
2.Mild Hybrid
3.Plug-In Hybrid
6. FULL HYBRIDS
Is a classification of hybrid vehicles
in which placement of the electric
drive motor, the internal
combustion engine and battery
system allow the hybrid vehicle to
be powered solely by the electric
motor under certain operating
conditions. When additional power
is needed, the engine kicks in and
both power plants work together
to propel the vehicle.
7. MILD HYBRIDS
Mild hybrids are generally
internal combustion
engines equipped with an
electric machine (one
motor/generator in a
parallel configuration)
allowing the engine to be
turned off whenever the
car is braking, or
stopped, yet restart
quickly.
8. PLUG-IN
HYBRIDS
Plug-in hybrid is a hybrid electric
vehicle that utilizes rechargeable
batteries, or another energy
storage device, that can be restored
to full charge by connecting a plug
to an external electric power source
(usually a normal electric wall
socket).
