• What is promotion?
- Promotion means using different media to give publicity of a product in order to raise
awareness.
• Why do companies need promotion?
- Because companies want to get more profit and the way to achieve this is to raise the sales of
their products. Promoting a product will help raising the customer’s awareness and attract them
to buy the products
• Why do consumers need promotion?
- Because consumers want to know what products are there in the markets and what are the
functions of them.
• Examples of types of promotion
- Posters, website, slogans, leaflets, TV adverts
