3. Raging Bull (1980)

From the beginning of the film we can grasp the perception of
Scorsese’s mood of scenery as we are introduced to the
protagonist (Robert De Niro) in a black and white atmosphere. We
also see De Niro jumping up getting ready for a match in slow
motion, which is one of Scorsese’s trademarks.
Martin Scorsese has many trademarks in his movies one being his
use of the audience being in a spectators viewing point. I think
Scorsese does this to make the audience feel like they are involved
in the movie, also to give off realistic theme. We are then
introduced to smooth melodic music which is non diegetic as the
music is played off screen which is not contrapuntal.
Furthermore another trademark used by Martin Scorsese is the
use of flash forwards and flash backs, this is portrayed to us when
he uses a flash forward of the boxer talking about his past.
Moreover the gentleman is suited which can connote some form
of importance as he hold a Cuban cigar.
4. Taxi Driver (1976)

We are introduced to a mentally unstable New York taxi driver
who is presented to the audience in a sleazy, insomniac way.
First and foremost we are not introduced to the protagonist's
face as we are looking through a point of view. Contrastingly
that is how we perceive the concept of the unstable man as
his vision is blurred, different colours are presented as he lacks
attention on the road.
Among the millions of people in New York City, meaningful
personal connections can be few and far between, and in Taxi
Driver we see several cases of such urban isolation. The
protagonist resents that the people in his cab pretend he
doesn't exist, and in a way, New York itself is an extension of
the little world of the taxi.
After we are introduced to a scene where we just meet the
main character, Scorsese always cuts to a scene of the
character himself talking on previous events, we see this when
Robert De Niro talks about not being able to sleep and
becoming a taxi driver not for the money but because he has
nothing better to do.
5. Goodfellas (1990)
