2. This is England, a Warp social realist
production, was hoping for a 15 age
rating, but received an 18 for
swearing and violence
3. Tyrannosaur, also a Warp
social realist production,
received an 18 rating as well,
also for violence and swearing
4. Sweet Sixteen, by the social realist master, Ken Loach,
also received an 18 rating. The script was improvised
and made by the actors portraying the characters – all
teenagers. Because the language was so bad this film
was given an 18 rating, and the main cast could not
attend the premiere, as they were too young
5. Journeyman (also a Paddy Considine film,
like Tyrannosaur), another indie social realist
film, is one of the only examples we found
that was given a 15 rating, not an 18
