1. Audience Research<br />15 rating: No-one younger than 15 may rent, but or watch in the cinema. A film that contains either things such as violence, nudity or language, but not strong enough to be an 18. For example, films such as 127 hours are rated 15 as they features such as a man getting his hand crushed by a rock, but nothing too graphic to be an 18 or prolonged 18 rated ideas. <br />18 rating: No-one younger than 18 may rent or purchase a film. An 18 rated film contains similar themes to 15 rated films but its used more and to a greater extent. For example, sin city has to be an 18 because its extremely graphic for example Elijah wood gets his arms, legs and head cut off and eaten by a dog. This is an extremely mature theme right now.<br />Examples in film noir:<br />Films such as Seven, LA Confidential and Sin City (Film Noirs) are rated 18 by bbfc (British board of film classification). This is because they include in the film: Very strong violence, Drug use etc. Seven includes 7 cases of torture and in one case a victim is still alive after being tortured and Sin city, Bruce Willis punches a guys face into the ground until its mush.<br />Films such as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Memento are 15 rated films, although they still contain Violence and drug use its not as graphic and strong as the 18 rated film noirs. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang does have violence but not disgustingly violent, like only fisty cuffs etc.<br />1828800819785Our film will be a 15 rating, as we will not include vulgar or serious cases of violence or drug use. However, it will contain some mature features e.g. criminal being a wife beater and a mafia boss exchanging criminals to corrupt police.<br />
