Fees
FEES ARE DUE AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH HALF –TERM, HALF A TERMS FEES TO BE PAID IN ADVANCE.
IF PARENTS ARE IN FINANCIAL DIFFICULTY ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE TO PAY ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE, UNTIL
DIFFICULTY IS RESOLVED.
FEES ARE STILL PAYABLE IF YOUR CHILD IS SICK, ABSENT OR ON HOLIDAY.
IF YOU FALL 2 WEEKS BEHIND, IT IS WITHIN OUR RIGHTS TO TERMINATE YOUR CONTRACT, RESULTING IN YOUR CHILD’S
PLACE BEING CANCELLED.
CANCELLING OR TERMINATING OUR CHILDCARE CONTRACT
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO GIVE 2 WEEKS’ NOTICE TO TERMINATE YOUR CHILD’S PLACE, WHEN WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE
TO WORK WITH A PARENT OR CHILD, WHEN TRUST AND COMMUNICATION HAS IRRECONCILABLY BROKEN DOWN.
PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO GIVE A HALF TERMS NOTICE IF THEY WISH TO CANCEL THEIR CHILD’S PLACE.
PARENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE THEIR CHILD’S PLACE WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT, IF THEY NO LONGER FEEL THE
SETTING IS MEETING THEIR CHILD’S NEEDS,AFTER THEY HAVE TRIED TO WORK WITH THE STAFF AND SETTING TO RESOLVE
ANY ISSUES FIRST.
WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL/TERMINATE YOUR CHILD’S PLACE, WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT FOR GROSS MISCONDUCT
BY A PARENT OR CHILD.

PARENTS.

DAMAGING OUR PROPERTY
SOCIAL NETWORKING POLICYSTAFF AND PARENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PUT INFORMATION, PHOTO'S COMPLAINTS, OPINIONS OR ALLEGATIONS
ABOUT THE SETTING, STAFF, THE CHILDREN WITHIN THE SETTING OR THEIR PARENTS, ON SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES.
THIS INCLUDES FACEBOOK, EMAILS, TEXTS, VOICEMAIL ETC.
COMPLAINTS AND CONCERNS MUST BE DEALT WITH INTERNALLY, COME IN AND TALK CONCERNS THROUGH, THERE IS
OFTEN TWO SIDES TO A STORY, AS WELL AS, MISINTERPRETATIONS OF INCIDENTS. CHILDREN OFTEN RELAY THEIR SIDE OF
AN ISSUE BUT DO NOT ALWAYS CLARIFY THE FACTS AND INCIDENTS THAT LED UP TO AN ISSUE, CHECK FIRST WITH YOU
KEY PERSON OR KAREN.
IF A PARENT OR CHILD IS UPSET WITH AN INCIDENT THAT HAS OCCURRED DURING SESSION, IT WILL BE DEALT WITH
INTERNALLY, WHENEVER AND WHEREEVER POSSIBLE.
ALL INCIDENTS ARE DEALT WITH PROFESSIONALLY, PROMPTLY, FAIRLY AND APPROPRIATLY.
PARENTS OFTEN BECOME VERY EMOTIONAL WHEN IT COMES TO INCIDENTS, FRIENDSHIP ISSUES AND BEHAVIOUR, THIS IS
NATURAL, AS WE ARE ALL PROTECTIVE OF OUR CHILDREN. REST ASSURED THE STAFF ARE WELL TRAINED, CARING AND

WE INFORM PARENTS OF ANY MAJOR INCIDENTS THAT OCCUR AND WORK WITH YOU TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD, SOME
MINOR ISSUES SUCH AS NOT SHARING, NOT BEING A BEST FRIEND OR NOT LISTENING TO AN ADULT ARE NOT ALWAYS
NECESSARY TO REPORT BACK TO PARENTS. THESE ARE NORMAL DEVELOPMENT SKILLS.
MAJOR INCIDENTS, CONFLICTS; ACCIDENTS ARE REPORTED VERBALLY TO PARENTS AT THE END OF SESSION. NOTICES FOR
PARENTS TO SPEAK TO THEIR KEY PERSON WILL BE PLACED ON YOUR CHILD’S CHAIR; IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO WAIT
TO SEE THE TEAM MEMBER.
TRUST US AND WORK WITH US IF YOU HAVE A CONCERN BUT TRY NOT TO OVER REACT OR WORRY TOO MUCH, WE DO
NOT TOLERATE BULLYING, ANY VERBAL OR PHYSICAL AGGRESSION WITHIN THE SETTING.
ANY PARENT WHO ATTACKS OR DISCUSSES ANOTHER PARENT, CHILD, STAFF MEMBER, VERBALLY OR VIA SOCIAL
NETWORK SITES, WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE SETTING WITH THEIR CHILD AND FIND ANOTHER SETTING. THIS INCLUDES
DISCUSSING CONFLICTS THAT HAVE OCCURED BETWEEN CHILDREN DURING SESSION, WHERE A PARENT CONTACTS
ANOTHER PARENT BLAMING ANOTHER CHILD ABOUT AN INCIDENT. (WE HAVE HAD AN INCIDENT RECENTLY WHERE THIS
HAS HAPPENED AND THE FACTS AND ALLEGATION MADE WERE INACCURATE, OUT OF ALL PROPORTION AND VERGING ON
MALICIOUS).
BEHAVIOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILD'S BEHAVIOUR WHEN COMING INTO AND LEAVING SETTING, AS SOON AS
YOUR CHILD IS SENT OUT TO YOU, YOU MUST ENSURE THEIR BEHAVIOUR AND SAFETY IS MONITORED.
PARENTS UNTIL THEY LEAVE SETTING ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SAFETY AND BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT.
WE HAVE ALSO HAD SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT A CHILD'S BEHAVIOUR WHILE WAITING TO COME INTO SETTING, IT IS
IN OUR POLICY THAT PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILD'S BEHAVIOUR AND PHYSICAL AGGRESSION, FOUL
LANGUAGE OR DISTRUPTIVE BEHAVIOUR CANNOT BE TOLERATED. IF A CHILD IS REPEATEDLY BADLY BEHAVED AND A
PARENT DOES NOT CONTROL THEIR CHILDS BEHAVIOUR AND IT RESULTS IN ANOTHER CHILD BEING HURT, YOU WILL BE
ASKED TO REMOVE YOUR CHILD FROM SETTING. IF A PARENT MAKES A FORMAL COMPLAINT IT WILL BE DEALT WITH
ACCORDINGLY.
DISCIPLINE WITHIN SETTING
IF A CHILD MISBEHAVES OR ACTS INAPPROPRIATELY THEY WILL HAVE TIME OUT, SITTING ON THEIR CHAIR FOR A MINUTE
OF EACH YEAR OF THEIR AGE, FOLLOWED BY A DISCUSSION ABOUT HOW THEY COULD HAVE BEHAVED
MOREAPPROPRIATLY.
