1. To get people to fill in my survey I used
Facebook and tagged my partner Maddie so
that her friends could take the survey too. This
is so that my Facebook friends could take the
survey as I found this was the easiest way.
I also did the same thing but on Twitter.
However I tagged the official page of
Veggie foods so that they could take the
survey.
This is my online survey
which 27 people have
responded to.

2. From the data I got by using ‘Survey Monkey’ I found that the results were very different
to what I expected. When comparing my results I looked to see what the vegetarians
answers were to find out there interests, genders and how creative they are.
I found that more vegetarians were female than male. Only 15%of males said that they
were male. I also found that a lot of vegetarians like pizza as this was a very common
answer in the vegetarian surveys.
On the question about what the viewers would like to see on the recipe cards, a large
proportion of people said that they would like to see pictures. However, when I was
looking to see what vegetarians answers were, they said that would prefer a combination
of both pictures and text.
Also when I checked the question about what types of food vegetarians are interested in,
it was very close results. Healthy food and food from around the world were equal results
and both were 35%. Breakfast food was the least favourite type that the vegetarians
wanted to see on the recipe cards where as party food was more popular than breakfast
but not as popular as the healthy and food from around the world.

I found that there are less vegetarian people who filled out my survey, than there was meat

Looking at the results from my survey I found that there were more females that took
time to fill it in, than there were males.

There was a wide range of people that took my survey. However, the most popular age
range was 17-20 where as there was not so many people between the age of 21-25. There
was more people over the age of 40 that took the survey, than there was under 16s which
is what I found interesting.

I found that people would like to see more pictures on the recipe than they would a
combination of both pictures and text. However a lot of people also said that they
would like to see text on the recipe cards.

I found that on this question people were more interested in seeing ‘food from
around the world’ than any other foods. However people are keen on the idea of
party food too. Breakfast food was the least favourite and about 25% of people
chose healthy food.

If I was to use the data I found from the survey, the colours on our recipe card
would be pastel colours as most people who filled in the survey chose this. Primary
colours was the least voted choice and rich colours was near the same amount of
primary.

10. I found that some of the research I found will be vital when it comes to producing my recipe
cards. This is because if I was to make a recipe card without including any of the research I
found, I would make a lot of mistakes and people will not be interested in our recipes
because it will not be what was asked of in the brief.
Because most of my results came from females, I think that this mean that more female
than male are going to be interested in recipe cards. This has made me decide that I should
make the recipe cards more famine than masculine.
My results also show that the two most popular types of food were Foods from around the
world and Party food. When making the recipe cards I should do one of these types of
foods because the audience are most interested in these. If I wasn’t to use the audience’s
favourite I will not have any buyers.
A very large proportion chose strawberries and apples as there favourite fruit, so I think
that I should definitely involve strawberries and apples as a main ingredient to one of my
recipe cards.
