Audience research analysis

The results from my survey and research are very helpful and
informative to help produce my work to it’s highest standard, the
survey has helped us to understand our audience and who they
are. We now know what gender our audience are and the age
range we are aiming at. We also know what kinds of food they
enjoy and we have an insight on which chefs our audience admire
so we can research into the chef to help with our product.

From the gender results I have found that most of our audience
are female with more than half of the percentage being female.
This will help us choose the colour and design scheme for our
cards as we know which gender are more interested in cooking
vegetarian food. We also know what fonts to use, as females will
be more attracted to fancy fonts instead of black bold fonts.
We do have a few male consumers so we will also need to
consider them while we are creating our cards as we will need to
incorporate the male audience into our work as well as the female
audience.

The results I have collected about the age range of our audience
show that our audience consists mostly of people aged ten to
twenty so we now know that our audience are young adults such
as students who will need cheap recipes and easy to follow
instructions.
This will also help when we are choosing the design and colour as
a younger audience will be more attracted to bright colours and
interesting designs.

Most of the results I gathered from peoples favourite vegetarian
meals are made up of salads and pastas mainly because they are
easy to make and very simple, also when people included
comments about substitutes to meat the main ideas are Quorn and
tofu because they are a well know substitute and they are very
close to the taste of chicken.
These results are most helpful to our product as they will help us to
choose the ingredients we will include in each of our dishes, now
that we know what most people like we know what to make that
will attract an audience.
The majority our the people that did the survey said that they enjoy
meals more than desserts with more than half of the people asked
choosing meals over desserts, we now know what type of things
we will be making.
These results help us to separate our audience and we know what
type of courses we will be making, we may also make a few
desserts as a lot of our audience also said that they enjoy desserts
so having a range of different courses will attract a bigger
audience.

When our audience were asked what type of vegetarian they are
we got a lot of positive responses but the leading description for
most of the people asked was that they are not vegetarian, this
may help us as we can make vegetarian food look more exciting
which would possibly attract the non vegetarian audience to try it.
Excluding the non-vegetarian option the leading type of vegetarian
was pescatarian; this will help when making our cards, as we now
know what type of vegetarian we are mainly aiming for and how
we can attract other types of vegetarians.

The main theme that stood out to our audience was Italian; this will
help to contribute to our products as we know what theme will
interest the audience the most, we also found that people liked the
idea of a superhero theme, this could be an interesting concept but
it would have to consist of desserts which is not aimed at what our
audience feedback has shown us.

When asked what country they mostly enjoy food from our
audience gave very detailed answers but the majority of the results
showed that people mostly enjoy Italy which also ties in with the
themes we asked our audience.
This will help us to know which country food to research into so we
know which foods to make.
