Elementary school teachers plan
lessons, teach a variety of subjects,
and keep class attendance records.
Elementary school is usually defined
as grades kindergarten through
sixth grade.
20 to 30 students per class.
Subjects they teach are reading,
spelling, arithmetic, history, civics,
English, and geography.

High school students should enroll in
programs that prepare them to
enter college.
College graduates.
Certified by the state in which they
want to teach.

$29,000 per school year.
