1. HADLEIGH KEETON
• I don’t exactly have a major yet because I am still in high school, but I am a very goal-oriented,
motivated, and hardworking woman.
2. • My first favorite discussion was the second board that we did over Metacognition. This discussion really helped me to
figure out that I was a bad studier. This video made me realize I was only setting myself up for failure by the way I
study. With the help of this video, I will be able to study more effectively in the future and reach my goals.
• My next favorite assignment was the Financial Aid Quiz. This gave me tons of information about scholarships and other
financial information that I was lacking. With the help of all of those videos I feel prepared financially for college. This
was one of the most helpful assignments in my opinion.
• My third favorite assignment was My Next Career Move. It took all of the information I gave and matched me with
appropriate jobs. It matched me with exactly what I wanted to do. It was meaningful to me because it gave me a
confidence boost about my dreams in life.
3. • My first favorite Journal Entry was number 11. I really loved visualizing my future accomplishment. It made me realize
just how badly I wanted to help people. This entry gave me the motivation I needed to reach my goal.
• My next favorite Journal Entry was number 13. This entry made me realize that I was not spending my time wisely.
Instead of focusing on important things with deadlines, I focus on things that are unimportant. This will help me in the
future to focus more on important aspects of my life.
• I also really like Journal Entry number 29. This entry allowed me to explore my feelings, and see how I affect my own
feelings. I wrote about something sad first, and then when I tried to write about something happy it was hard for me
to remember it being happy. It really helped me realize that I control how I feel about things.
4. My favorite week was the first week because it helped me to learn more about myself as well as the campus of
Grayson. This week really set the tempo for me. I struggled a little bit with opening up to not only everyone but
myself. That first week made me realize how important it was to dig deep into myself to get the answers I needed.
5. • The first lesson I will carry with me is how important it is to have the proper study habits.
• The next lesson I will carry with me is the importance of time management.
• The third lesson that I will keep with me is how bad I need to believe in myself.

With the help of this course I have learned how to believe in myself and how to have confidence. When I am stuck in a
sticky situation or do not know the answer to a problem I have, I have learned to as for help. This course really helped
me learn how to become the person my future self will be thankful for.
7. MY NEXT CAREER MOVE
• The My Next Career Move assignment matched me with a lot of jobs, however, my top two jobs were
being a general doctor or a pediatrician. Both jobs require a lot of schooling and make good money.
These jobs include my favorite thing to do… Help people. I learned that in order to succeed in the
future I am going to have to stay driven to accomplish my goals. I really want to be a pediatrician, so
that means I will have to go to college for a couple of extra years than what a family doctor goes to. This
is because I will have to specialize in kids. I also learned from this assignment that the medical field isn’t
my only option. The biggest thing I learned from this assignment is to keep my options open, but to stay
motivated to succeed.
