I interviewed a teacher from Seckman High School named Lori Bunting. I asked Lori several questions and she gave me more insight on the teaching
career. Lori graduated from Southeast Missouri State in in 2000 with her Bachelors in Secondary Education and Mathematics. She then received her
masters in classroom teaching in 2008 from Missouri Baptist University. With student teaching in my near future I thought asking her about her student
teacher experience would give me some advice on what my next steps are. Lori student taught at two different schools and for eight weeks each. The
first place she student taught was at Oak Ridge High School in Oak Ridge, Missouri. Lori stated that the school was very small and only had one math

involved in the school. She said that unlike today, she had no choice of where she student taught but she was grateful for the experience she had at

Higher education is an ever–changing and evolving field that comes with its own set of responsibilities ranging from professors teaching about learning
methods to the staff that look after student well–being. Since there is such a vast set of responsibilities though comes a fair number of issues and
policies to adhere to. With that in mind, the series of documents that were assigned for reading helped to put some things in perspective for me when it
comes to this field. The documents that we had looked at were the 2014 Strategic Plan for Southeast Missouri State University (Southeast or SEMO),
"Top 10 Higher Education State Policy Issues for 2012" by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), a list of the
fifteen roles of higher education that the class had decided on, and a .pdf of flow charts created, one from each student, using the aforementioned
roles. These documents were interesting to read and I believe that each of them helped me to find a new outlook on what it is that I want to do in
this field. As previously mentioned, each of these documents helped to show me a new perspective and also showed me the challenges that are being

Benjy is the first narrator out of four in William Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury. He is unable to speak, so his story is told through his thoughts and
memories. Despite Benjy's mental limitations he is the most illuminating and most important narrator in the novel, as Faulkner intended. His memories
reveal more in the story than any other narrator because he is able to remember without concealing information. Faulkner uses Benjy's narration to
build a foundation and pretense for the novel, creating a puzzle for the reader. Benjy is "mentally retarded" and has no sense of time, leaving the

This sets up reader's understanding that the Compsons are not a cohesive, unified family. It shows how many voices and opinions are involved in
everything Benjy does and how much he is around the entire family, making his thoughts very important to the novel because while he might not have
been crucial to the actual situation, he was in the room listening. Benjy's credibility as a narration is often reduced because of his limitations, however
he continually adds to the novel's background and grows as a character. Roggenbuck explains how he grows throughout the novel:
Critics also cite Benjy's frequent use of the verb go as an example of his limitations, but in this, too, Benjy changes as he grows. Though as a child
