This document summarizes the activities of the "Healthy Young People of Today are the Future of Europe Tomorrow" project. It describes 17 international mobility events across 9 European countries where students participated in activities promoting healthy eating and exercise. Example activities included a harvest day to learn about homegrown vegetables, a porridge day to learn about different types of porridge, and an Olympics day to encourage exercise. The document outlines the educational and social benefits students gained from participating in the international project.
3. FIRST YEAR ACTIVITIES

5. •Aim: to develop students’ understanding that home-grown vegetables are the healthiest.
•Process: students bring to school the biggest vegetables grown in their gardens and put them in the basket in the school yard.
•Result: students know the names of diferent vegetables, know what they give to our health.
9. •Aim: to popularize the variety of porridges and stress their significance for our health.
•Process: teahcers make different porridges (rice, buckwheat, oats, semolina, millet, etc.), students taste them, guess what they are made of, choose the most tasty.
•Result: students are informed about different kind of porridges, they understand that grain food is very important for their health.

•Process: all students exercise together in sports hall, watching live broadcast on TV.
•Result: being all together and doing physical activities for 20 minutes.

•Process: discussions about immune system, food additives, diets.
•Result: students togehter with their parents talk about the significance of the topic.

•Process: students are introduced with variety and application of herbs. They taste herbal teas, feel and guess the scent of the plants.
•Result: students know more about healthy influence given by herbal teas in the case of ilnesses.

•Process: discussions about illnesses and health protection, measuring of the blood pressure.
•Result: studnets know more about health protection, they know the importance of the blood pressure.

33. The International Day of People with Disabilities

34. •Aim: to learn tolerance.
•Process: Straupes school students help children with disabilities to create Christmas ornaments.
•Result: Straupe school students are impressed how much can children with disabilities do, they consider this day as one of the best. The ornaments were placed on the Christmas tree.

Project week «We support healthy life”
40. •Aim: to promote the consumption of fruit and vegetables.
•Process: during the week students do researches, then they themselves make and taste different vegetable and fruit salads and natural juices.
•Result: students understand that vegetables they never eat are not so uneatable.

•Etc.
63. To conclude:
•We have realized 17 mobilities;
•We have visited so many nice places and met wonderful people;
•We learn to organize international meetings;
•We have improved our communication, foreign language and IT skills;
•We are the smallest school, but we are proud of that and do our best.
•In May our school was visited by representative of National agency to supervise the process of the project. The official conclusion says – all is done perfect!

•Rezultāti – iepazīti sadarbības partneri; izstrādāts darbības plāns; iepazītas valstu izglītības sistēmas; apmeklētas kultūrvēsturiskās vietas.

•Rezultāti – svešvalodu izmantošana un jauni draugi skolēniem; kopīgas sporta un mākslas aktivitātes; izveidota vārdnīca ar frāzēm visu dalībvalstu valodās; izvēlēts projekta logo un talismans.

•Rezultāti: iegūti jauni draugi Eiropā; izveidots starpprodukts – brošūra - tradicionālu un veselīgu ēdienu ēdienkarte trīs dienām; prezentētas video stundas par projekta aktivitāšu integrāciju stundās; izjusta Sardīnijas salas vētra un saule; iepazīts pilsētas kultūrvēsturiskais mantojums.

•Rezultāti – demonstrēti valstu kultūras priekšnesumi; prezentēta daudzvalodu recepšu grāmata ar 4 tradicionālām receptēm no katras dalībvalsts; analizētas projekta pirmā gada veiksmes un neveiksmes; iepazītas Portugāļu ēšanas tradīcijas; apskatīti dabas un kultūras objekti.
