2. Rebecca
• The use of dreams in this film ‘Rebbeca’ is very clever. The narrative
works well, and allows the audience to understand what is
happening more clearly.
• The scene looks like it has got shot once and the movement looks
very realistic to the audience.
• This shows that someone is moving and that the dream looks very
vivid and that she remembers the house and every little detail.
• The music used fits what is shown throughout the scene.
3. Vertigo
• This use of dreams is very old fashion and can tell from
the first shot shown to the viewers.
• The dream is very vivid and the disjointed music fits in
well and can tell that something weird is happening.
• The filters are good and give the audience a sense that it
is a dream.
• The different shot types work well especially the Point of
View.
4. Spellbound
• This is very old fashion as can tell from the effects.
• The dream is very suspicious and creates a sense of the mystery as
in the dream, the face of owner hasn’t been shown to the audience
but shows a mask.
• This shows like most dreams, it doesn’t make much sense to the
individual dreaming.
• The music fit the scenes shown on the screen, the music is very
creepy and fast but the eyes shown are very distracting.
