Editor's Notes
Social media is the interactions among people that creates shared and publish information on the internet (Wikipedia 2014). It is a virtual network that connects people and sites together. They have the ability to create and exchange information which can be shared through computers and mobile devices. As a company, social media plays a big role in how businesses have conducted more business.
Social Media is a gateway among companies and the consumers by creating interactions among them to promote the company and the brand. Consumers are using social media more to share information and ideas. It is a communication gateway which includes pictures, post and reviews. NT will have the opportunity to interact with their consumers and vendors. They will see what they do and think about the products and services.
NW Technologies needs to have a creative brand development which will help the company advance and go ahead of their competitors. (Mitzuv, 2011). It will need to show it has great quality products and services. This factor will help with the identity of the brand and company.
It will show what drivers and barriers the company contains. This process will help on the marketing of the company and the brand. The company needs to have strong ideas and bring them to the market. The proper training needs to be done to maintain the proper mechanism to promote the vision of NW Technologies.
Business networking is leveraging your business and personal connections to bring you a regular supply of new business. Because it involves relationship building, it can be a deceptively complex process. (Misner, Ivan 2008) If the company has 100 clients and vendors, how will the company grow its network? This is when social media gets involved. It will bring a network for consumers and vendors to the table.
Social networking works the same way, it will give the company a community of network where it can communicate, share and publish through a series of different networks that are connected to the company profile page. The company will accomplish the interactions it needs to keep ahead of the game and maintain their social media network.
Social Media gives you an option to target specific demographic, which will help the company. Your target demographic is specific to your business and will depend on the goods and services that you offer. In order to understand your audience, you must determine which social media sites your existing and potential clients use – where are they online (Folger, 2014)? You need to know where are your clients and how they spend their time online.
Once this is known, you can target anyone, from locations to adults, and online buyers. You can target your employees, why? Your employees play a big role when you are using social media. They are the ones that will help you more because they work for the company and they know the product and services. You need to have a great relationship with them, they are the key to move your company ahead and place it among great companies that consumer will be talking and looking into.
Social Media gives an opportunity to clients to see how other people think about your products and services. As part of the network, you have the option to give your opinion about the company and their product and services. This option could be a review or an endorsement. This is how a company builds their reputation among people.
Harvard Business Review (Ennes, 2014) mentions that most companies do not know how to use and benefit from social media. They do not know how to use it correctly and are losing out. These companies lose out on things such as how the business is doing or how it could be built for the future. By using social media correctly, NW will have a loyalty of clients, this will include the company employee which they will be the first ones to promote the company and let other consumers how their product and services will work.
Social media is a place to be at this stage. You need to be open to new networks. NW needs to be on all the social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, just to mention a few to start the process. Understanding the basis of social media, you will be able to put your company ahead and place it on a path that will be beneficial. You need to create an awareness that NW is here and it has products and services that will help you. Communication is the key to keep your target in check, and it is also the key to connect you with consumers and vendors.
Social media will be your everyday tool that will help you have all of these things handy to promote and have your company. As a company we need to connect with employees to create awareness and have them on our side to promote the company products and services. By keeping the awareness and communication we will have the company in place that we can move the social media with no problem.
