The multiple–server waiting line approach eliminates jockeying behavior. A single–line, multiple–server system has better performance in terms of
waiting times than the same system with a line for each server. The multiple–line configuration is appropriate when experienced servers are used or
when space considerations make a single–line model inconvenient. On the other hand, the multiple–service line system provides the customer the
option of selecting his clerk, but check–out may be considerably slower (Jones, O'Berski, & Tom, 1980, p. 91). There are many ways to minimize

The last nine experiments listed in Table 1 have reported the projected area and mass of the firebrands. Fig. 3 depicts the PDF and contour plots

values for mass and area of the firebrands at further distances are larger which means that we have more variety of sizes there.

This report is a continuation of the group project which produced and analysed a working simulation model of the queueing problems at 'University
House Restaurant' using Simul8. From the conceptual modelling of the group project, the model contents, which include the scope and the level of
detail, and constraints, will remain the same as well as the simplifications and assumptions. Likewise, the validation and verification of the model are
assumed to be reasonably accurate. However, some factors from the original report will be subject to change according to different scenarios during the
experimentation.
From the observations of the restaurant and the interview with a full–time employee, it was evident that the queueing problem was typical, especially
for 'Today's special Hot–food menu' during the peak hours of Fridays between 12:00–14:00. This queueing problem affected the total time taken to be
fully served, taking up to 7.7 minutes, which the problem was analysed in the group report.

As Michael Patrick McDonald contends, South Bostonians think of Southie as the "best place in the world", and there is a silence that consumes the
residents when it comes to discussing the woes of the past. And in such a physically and culturally secluded area of the City of Boston, it is unlikely
that anything the citizens are not willing to discuss would be otherwise recorded. In speaking of lost history, it is important to question the history far
beyond the past 60 years. It is widely known that Native Americans inhabited the Boston dating back 6,000 years. Nonetheless, many of their artifacts
have been lost over the years. However, over the past two years, Native American artifacts have been discovered in the Andrew Square section of South
Boston, not far from D Street. While it is likely that most artifacts are lost forever because of the disregard for the area during development in the
1950s, further exploration may be able to call attention to a distant history. Andrew Square too went through radical development throughout the 20th

Surface culture is essentially the cultural norms you can easily identify in a foreign country such as food and dressing. On the other hand, deep culture
are the cultural norms that are not easily detected unless, you are born and raised in that specific culture, or you spend an extended amount of time in
the foreign culture. Examples of deep culture would be rules, attitudes and feelings that are passed down from generation to generation.

We are taught from young to never transgress another person's queue and to always respect their personal space while queuing.
However, if I were to stay in this culture that does not observe the queue system, I will definitely have to learn to be less defensive of my queue and
practise more tolerance to their local behaviour as long as it does not violate my basic ethics. I have to discard the ethnocentric notion that only my

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate whether the social identity theory applies when it comes to peoples' reactions to petrol queue jumping. It intended to
ascertain whether participants demonstrated more reaction to those who jump queues, outside their own in–group (those who drive luxurious cars as
opposed to non–luxurious car drivers). This study was influenced by a similar experiment conducted by Helweg–Larsen & LoMonaco (2008) about
queuing among U2 fans and their reactions to queue jumping. The experiment involved 49 participants who indicated they didn't drive a luxury car, in
a Melbourne metropolitan petrol queue, 26 of whom were males, aged 18–58 years (M =33:82; SD = 11.26), in addition to this there were 23 females,

This study is relatable to other research particularly one executed by Thoitis & Virshup (1997) in which groups of people were classified into "me's
and "we's" and this is a clear representation for in–groups and out–groups. They discussed the notion that there is a sense of obligation and protection
of one's own ingroup as they are willing to empathise with those perceived to be similar to the individual as oppose to the "we's" who were seen as
dissimilar to the individual (Thoitis & Virshup, 1997). In terms of human behaviour, socialidentity theory and queue jumping can be closely
interrelated as queue jumping has been was investigated by Helweg–Larsen & LoMonaco (2008). In this study U2 fans where given a questionnaire
whilst waiting in an overnight line to obtain floor spots at his concert the following day. The purpose was to reflect on their reactions to line–intrusion
and the results showed that the queue is a social system and line intrusion was most upsetting to fans with a greater the commitment; the more
dedicated the fan the more upset they were by queue jumping (Helweg–Larsen & LoMonaco, 2008).
In regards to queue jumping, there is much curiosity as to whether the social identity theory can be proven but little research. It is important to study
