2. Sound Track
Our soundtrack is similar to many films particularly action/adventures
such as the Bourne Ultimatum, Die Hard 4 and Skyfall. This is because
of the build up of the soundtrack as it starts with a quite sound bed
that’s grows in volume, then more instruments are gradually added
till the opening scene reaches the climax and this is when our
character begins to do skills and the fast paced guitar comes in,
also the music fades out toward the end to make a cleaner change
between the scenes and this is similar in the films I have mentioned
and many more. The fast paced music would attract the audience
to watch as they would be intrigued by what was happening.
3. Shots
The camera angles address the audience as they allow them to
view the character and also the location so they can learn about
him. They may be attracted by the quality of the shots especially the
one of the character looking out at the football pitch as it pans,
because our target audience have all commented it on being their
favourite shot along with the end shot.
4. The Character
The target audience would be able to relate to him, because of his
costume that reflects the fashion of many teenagers. He is a
representation of a teenage that is not stereotypical but an
accurate representation so the target audiences would watch it in
order to see themselves represented in a positive way.
5. The Skills
In the garage scenes the main character performs some amazing
football skills, and this would attract many football fans, but also non
football fans as they may be inspired by the skills in those shots but
also the camera work to frame the ball perfectly. Especially with the
music at this point as it separates the skills from the rest of the
opening scene.
6. The Title
Grass Roots would attract teenagers as it has so many
connotations, and once the target audience have heard the name
then it would be hard for them to forget because it has so much to
do with football.
