2. On my front cover I decided in one of my boxes to have a sub-story based on fashion. In the box I decided I wanted a few items of clothing and their prices and the shops they where bought from. I went home and took a couple of pictures of a few of my clothes to use on the front. Obviously I couldn’t just put there pictures on my cover I needed to delete the background.
3. I got rid of the backgrounds by going onto photo shop. Here I used the magic eraser to remove the background. Because the background of the picture was dark and the dress is cream, by using magic eraser I got rid of the majority of the background. However the picture still had tiny bits of the background left. This was when I had to use the normal rubber, zoom in on the picture and get rid of all the background. This picture is the final edited picture. Although the edge of the dress is a little rough when the picture is on my magazine it looks fine it is so small you can barely recognise that. However if I did this production again I would try and change that.
4. I also did this with both of my other two pictures. Again like the dress the background is still on the pictures and this is a problem that I wish I could change.
5. On my front cover I also wanted other pictures. When I was at work The Wanted came for an album signing. I took some pictures and decided these could be good for a sub-story for my magazine, as the pictures aren't in a photo shoot and therefore are more realistic. On the picture on the left I decided I wanted to use Nathan for my sub-story. I thought the trilby suited the theme of my magazine and he looked like a teen pop star (which he is). And the picture underneath, I wanted to use Jay. This picture is taken in the moment and when I put it on my magazine it will look like the paparrazi have taken the picture. This is the type of picture that would usually be in a music magazine.
6. Again like my clothing pictures when I was editing the picture of The Wanted I used the magic eraser to get rid of the background. However this time it was a little harder as the background wasn’t plain, there is a lot going on in the background and therefore it is hard to delete the background. However these are the finished background pictures. From the two pictures, I created an image that looks like one. I managed to get rid of the background, by using magic eraser and an ordinary rubber. I then merged the pictures together and mirrored the picture of Nathan. This was so that the picture looked right together. I asked my piers what they thought of my new picture. Zoe said ‘To be honest it looks as though you have taken that picture of Nathan and Jay together.’ This made me know that the picture looked good together and so I decided not to change anything.
