Task

Questions
What was difficult and what
was easy?
I found most of it quite easily to be honest. I was able to
get my pictures easily, I found it easy to make and didn't
cause me much trouble. The only thing that was difficult
was getting it down on paper. I had a clear idea on how I
wanted it to look, and took me some time to get it right,
but over all I am happy with the finished project.
Would it have been easier
with research?
I did do research for this task and I did find that it helped.
I feel like that if I hadn't of done any research I would
have struggled with the design and look of the magazine,
and how to make it fit the genre. I am also doing research
for the Music Magazine so I am clearer with what to do.
What did you do to attract the
audience?
I mainly went for anything to do with the school. I used school
based subject for the headlines and pictures, and made sure that it
has students involved in the pictures. I also used the school
colours and made sure it was in link with the school as much as
possible. I felt like this is all was needed for the audience- clear
connection to school, informative headings etc.
What have I learned
about the software that I
have used?
Before I started this task I had never used the Photoshop
software. At the start I found it very difficult to get my head
round it but , over the time I have used it, I have learned new
trick and techniques that I can use in my music magazine.
What have I learned to help
me excel in the main task?
In lessons I have learned a wide range of things. I have learned
how magazines use different techniques to gain and attract
their audiences, I have learned how to structure the magazine
and how to make it fit its purpose. This has helped me to have
a greater understanding in what to do in the main task, and
how to make it the best I possibly can.
