Civics and moral education is taught as part of the social studies curriculum in primary and lower secondary grades in Singapore, with 2 hours per week dedicated to the subject. In upper secondary grades 11-12, civics and morals becomes an elective still under the social studies subject. The civics and morals curriculum focuses on knowing oneself, relating to others, caring for community, building the nation, cultivating culture and spirituality, and responding to global needs across grades 7 through 12.
