Sharing best practice: OPEN
CLASSROOMS!
Focus Week 3:
More able students: HoDs will be carrying out learning
walks and work scrutinies; they will collect evidence on the
proformas and will produce a report on the quality of
provision, and areas for development, in each department. SLT
will be carrying out student trails and reviewing schemes of
learning. The Student Council and 9 set 1 Eng and 11 set 1 Eng
will be taking part in student voice.
Feedback review: KH will carry out learning walks using
departmental feedback policies and reports from FW1 to
review the quality of feedback.
SMSC: DW and Louise Hickes continue to audit and collect
evidence for the SMSC grid.
Thanks to those who signed up last term and those who popped in to the
lessons!
Please ask Steve or Katie for cover if you want to ‘pop in’ to a lesson for 10
minutes or so.

Sharing Best Practice and Feedback Review in Teaching Bulletin

  • 1. Teaching and Learning Bulletin 6 January 2015 Sharing best practice: OPEN CLASSROOMS! Focus Week 3: More able students: HoDs will be carrying out learning walks and work scrutinies; they will collect evidence on the proformas and will produce a report on the quality of provision, and areas for development, in each department. SLT will be carrying out student trails and reviewing schemes of learning. The Student Council and 9 set 1 Eng and 11 set 1 Eng will be taking part in student voice. Feedback review: KH will carry out learning walks using departmental feedback policies and reports from FW1 to review the quality of feedback. SMSC: DW and Louise Hickes continue to audit and collect evidence for the SMSC grid. Thanks to those who signed up last term and those who popped in to the lessons! Learning Team briefing this Thursday: Chris Rodd on ‘Race Review’ The Power of ‘Not Yet’. The CPD booklets on Growth Mindset will be in pigeon holes on Monday. The application of this idea to our classroom practice will be our focus in future CPD sessions. We will also be exploring GM with students and parents.
