• High quality, daily phonics lessons delivered by experts
• Opportunity to apply their new skills immediately independently in
a meaningful context
• Teacher modelling of the new grapheme/spelling pattern before
their independent writing
• A literacy-rich environment with visual prompts
• Meaningful opportunities to continue to use and apply their new
learning
