Argosy University
Date:December 7, 2010
To:To Whom It May Concern
From:Dr. Jay Greiner
Professor
Argosy University Online Programs
College of Undergraduate Studies
jrgreiner@argosy.edu
Re:Diane Garcia-Becker
This letter of recommendation is being submitted on behalf of Diane Garcia-Becker in conjunction with her application for graduate studies.
I have worked with Diane Garcia-Becker at Argosy University for 12 weeks in the online classroom in 2010, and as she completed coursework in PSY350, Physiological Psychology, and PSY210, Psychological Statistics. This has given me the opportunity to work closely with Diane as we have had weekly communication regarding coursework and research planning and implementation tasks. Under my supervision, Diane completed her coursework and has demonstrated outstanding professional writing skills based on integration of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th Edition.
Diane is a very unique individual in her ability to perform at the highest level academically, combined with her ability to communicate with others and to cooperate with others in an online group setting. Specifically, Diane demonstrated sensitivity and commitment to social responsibilities in her social interaction and course involvement, and was very energetic and enthusiastic about her involvements, paying close attention to details of instructions and organized activities.
In addition to being an excellent student, Diane will be an excellent Professional Psychologist as she has demonstrated the ability to clarify and expound on problematic issues related to education and application of psychological principles. She appears to have emotional maturity and a natural tendency to encourage and nurture others who may be struggling or who may have questions. If another individual has questions and concerns, Diane would take the time to respond to others in a thorough and caring manner, whether student or colleague. She excels in her chosen endeavors and her potential for exemplary achievement in graduate studies and as a professional Psychologist is outstanding.
In summary, I give the very highest recommendation without reservation in support of the application of Diane Garcia-Becker for graduate studies. I believe that her service contribution to the professional Psychological community will be exemplary. Please contact me if I can be of further assistance in this regard.
Respectfully,
Jay R. Greiner, Ph.D.
jrgreiner@argosy.edu
717-566-3838 EST
