2. PDHPE is important within the Primary curriculum Promotes physical activity which helps in: Healthy growth and development Better self-esteem Stronger bones, muscles and joints Better posture, balance and weight Social interaction with friends Better focus and concentration during school.

3. The American Heart Association recommends that, ‘all children aged 2 and older should participate in at least 60 minutes of, moderate-intensity physical activities every day that are developmentally appropriate and varied’.
