This synthesis paper is in partial fulfillment for the requirements for the

Executive summary
The purpose of this research is to solve the problems international students have with health insurance or healthcare in the United States. This portfolio is comprised of four separate papers that examined all of the various strategies and approaches that can be adopted by foreign students to select an appropriate health insurance policy. The paper covers all of these approaches in great detail, also providing (a) recommendations and strategic planning techniques, which should be adopted by the students in order to assess the value of the health insurance policy they are planning to purchase (MSA 603), (b) the ways different ethnic groups perceive health insurance or quality healthcare, while evaluating and hypothesizing the way cultural variables interact in shaping the individual’s perception within an organization and society (MSA604), (c) strategies for effective communication most important in helping patients and doctors communicate (MSA601), and (d) the evaluation model in financial performance in healthcare or in hospitals (MSA602). In each of the papers, the researchers used strategic planning projects to help improve the operations and services offered by health insurance and healthcare systems. Regardless of the conclusions found through this research, more follow-up studies should be conducted that consider the continued development and corresponding effectiveness.

Context
Community/public health nursing is nursing care that is population-focused and occurs in non-hospital settings. Numerous nursing theories can provide the structure for community/public health nursing; however, nursing theories that incorporate components of the general systems theory frequently provide the framework for the practice of community/public health nursing.
Historically, nurses have made significant contributions to the field of public health. From providing maternal-child care to poor women in the late 1800s, to promoting hygiene among school aged children in the early 1900s, to providing environmental and safety care to industrial workers during World War I, nurses have been instrumental in shaping health policies (Maurer & Smith, 2013). Today, community/public health nurses have a key role in identifying and developing plans of care to address local, national, and international health issues.
Many factors influence the health of communities and populations, including national policies that focus on health promotion. Healthy People, a major national health promotion program issued by the U.S. Surgeon General, identifies major health problems of the nation and sets national goals and objectives targeting health promotion (Maurer & Smith, 2013). If adopted, activities that target health promotion can result in disease prevention.

As a healthcare administrator, I will have to consider the potential physical and mental risks first of medical tourism for consumers. I have looked for enough evidence-based research to help me to decide that this would be a choice that I would recommend. However, I did not find what I was looking for to say that I would without reservation and good judgment recommend a client to fly to India or Costa Rica for major surgery. I understand that the cost is so much less for various surgeries and companies and clients can save tons of money (ABC News (Producer), 2013).
I understand that this country’s expensive healthcare prices are driving patients and companies to participate in traveling outside of the country for medical procedures. “Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) put the price of a knee replacement in the U.S. at $48,000. Travel to India and the same operation will cost $8500, more than 80% cheaper. A heart bypass that costs $113,000 in the U.S. can be bought for just $3250 in Mexico, while operations in Malaysia are typically 65-80% cheaper” (Lunt, Smith, Exworthy, Green, Horsfall, & Mannion, 2011). So, I see that the cost of healthcare is causing many Americans to file bankruptcy and America pays too much for a healthcare system that is not working. Also, companies who are not at the Fortune 500 status would like to find a way to save money on employee benefits.
Therefore, I would say my thoughts on getting on board with this would be when another country has a life-saving procedure that cannot be performed in this country for various reasonings like a personal moral view of a political party in charge ...

The provision of outpatient healthcare services in the United States is quickly growing as more investments into this sector come in. There is a great shift in healthcare services from inpatient to outpatient medical services. Among the outpatient healthcare services is the establishment of an outpatient pharmacy. I propose that a pharmacy should be established in the state of Florida, where I come from. The pharmacy should be big enough to possible serve the most people possible. The pharmacy would be open for service to the general public under the directions of the state’s hospital.
A pharmacy would be the best idea for one to put up in my state. The pharmacies are not just outlets for collection of drugs, as some may be made to believe. There is much more in store for the patient when he/she decides to get the services from a pharmacy. Pharmacies offer medicinal and health information and advice to the patients, given that the pharmacists are well trained in the medical and anatomical fields and they understand much on the expected effects of drugs on the body. Pharmacists also offer quick solutions to common weather-related infections such as common cold and influenza, thereby reducing congestion in hospitals. Expectant women and newborn babies and their mothers often require specialized attention in terms of medication and diet. Executive summary
The purpose of this research is to solve the problems international students have with health insurance or healthcare in the United States. This portfolio is comprised of four separate papers that examined all of the various strategies and approaches that can be adopted by foreign students to select an appropriate health insurance policy. The paper covers all of these approaches in great detail, also providing (a) recommendations and strategic planning techniques, which should be adopted by the students in order to assess the value of the health insurance policy they are planning to purchase (MSA 603), (b) the ways different ethnic groups perceive health insurance or quality healthcare, while evaluating and hypothesizing the way cultural variables interact in shaping the individual’s perception within an organization and society (MSA604), (c) strategies for effective communication most important in helping patients and doctors communicate (MSA601), and (d) the evaluation model in financial performance in healthcare or in hospitals (MSA602). In each of the papers, the researchers used strategic planning projects to help improve the operations and services offered by health insurance and healthcare systems. Regardless of the conclusions found through this research, more follow-up studies should be conducted that consider the continued development and corresponding effectiveness.

Community/public health nursing is nursing care that is population-focused and occurs in non-hospital settings. Numerous nursing theories can provide the structure for community/public health nursing; however, nursing theories that incorporate components of the general systems theory frequently provide the framework for the practice of community/public health nursing.
Historically, nurses have made significant contributions to the field of public health. From providing maternal-child care to poor women in the late 1800s, to promoting hygiene among school aged children in the early 1900s, to providing environmental and safety care to industrial workers during World War I, nurses have been instrumental in shaping health policies (Maurer & Smith, 2013). As a healthcare administrator, I will have to consider the potential physical and mental risks first of medical tourism for consumers. I have looked for enough evidence-based research to help me to decide that this would be a choice that I would recommend. However, I did not find what I was looking for to say that I would without reservation and good judgment recommend a client to fly to India or Costa Rica for major surgery. I understand that the cost is so much less for various surgeries and companies and clients can save tons of money (ABC News (Producer), 2013).
I understand that this country’s expensive healthcare prices are driving patients and companies to participate in traveling outside of the country for medical procedures. “Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) put the price of a knee replacement in the U.S. at $48,000. Travel to India and the same operation will cost $8500, more than 80% cheaper. A heart bypass that costs $113,000 in the U.S. can be bought for just $3250 in Mexico, while operations in Malaysia are typically 65-80% cheaper” (Lunt, Smith, Exworthy, Green, Horsfall, & Mannion, 2011). So, I see that the cost of healthcare is causing many Americans to file bankruptcy and America pays too much for a healthcare system that is not working. Also, companies who are not at the Fortune 500 status would like to find a way to save money on employee benefits.

The provision of outpatient healthcare services in the United States is quickly growing as more investments into this sector come in. There is a great shift in healthcare services from inpatient to outpatient medical services. Among the outpatient healthcare services is the establishment of an outpatient pharmacy. I propose that a pharmacy should be established in the state of Florida, where I come from. The pharmacy should be big enough to possible serve the most people possible. The pharmacy would be open for service to the general public under the directions of the state’s hospital.
A pharmacy would be the best idea for one to put up in my state. The pharmacies are not just outlets for collection of drugs, as some may be made to believe. There is much more in store for the patient when he/she decides to get the services from a pharmacy. Pharmacies offer medicinal and health information and advice to the patients, given that the pharmacists are well trained in the medical and anatomical fields and they understand much on the expected effects of drugs on the body. Crisis can occur at any time of day. Before a crisis, successful communication will depend on the preparations made long before the crisis occurs. A crisis is a series of unforeseen events that launch a group, team or an organization into a downward organizational spiral, a crisis situation incorporates a surprise, a threat to high priority goals, and a restricted amount of time available for response. Crisis is not limited to any size or type, it doesn’t confine itself to any particular policy area, it jumps from one field to another uncovering issues and combining them into unforeseen mega-threats, and it is an embedded vulnerability that emerges, fades, mutates and strikes again. Abstract
Purpose – The aim of the paper is to examine the renewable energy resources for enhancing a green
energy development in the face of energy crisis and climate change, and to explore the prospects for
“new” renewable energy sources and the green energy initiatives taken in the Pacific Island countries
(PICs).
Design/methodology/approach – The data were collated from a wide variety of sources including
policy documents, road maps, reports, research articles on renewable and green energy sources.
The methodology adopted was primarily a qualitative one based on a “content analysis”.
Findings – The findings reveal that increasing emphases have been given recently to “new”
renewable and green energy sources in the Pacific Island countries as mitigation and adaptation
strategies to fuel crisis and climate change. PICs have taken a wide range of green energy initiatives
including “biomass”, solar, wind and other non-traditional renewable energy sources and bio-fuels
development. Prospects for coconut, copra and palm-oil based bio-fuels do exist in many PICs.
Opportunities for ethanol bio-fuels also exist especially in Fiji.
Practical implications – Renewable and green energy sources are of practical implications to PICs.
There is, however, a greater need for framing sound energy policies by the PICs.
Originality/value – The author has brought out clear linkages between climate change and green
energy development and analyzed the importance of new renewable energy sources, especially in PICs.
The paper has higher policy relevance and it is of great value in the context of sustainable energy
development in PICs.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
