2. ENGLISH CEMETERY
The english cemetery in Málaga ,was founded by William
Mark,he was a british consul in Malaga from 1824 until
1836,he worked hard to get that opened the cemetery outside
the city. In 1840 a small chapel was built in the cemetery. This
was increase in 1891 and is now St. George’s Anglican
Church .In 1856 was built and used as the home of the
cemetery gardener. In 2005 this building was remodeled into
a giftshop for the church .Know the cemetery is a beautiful
botanical garden with many types of plants.
the cemetery contains more than 1.000 graves.
3. Famous people buried there :
Generald Brenan was born in 1894 and died in 1987, he was a British
writer ,He wrote about fifty books in total, mostly travel novels,was moved to a
reception center in Pinner, London, but the intervention of the Spanish
Andalusian and got installed in Alhaurin el Grande (Malaga), where he died.
Gamel Woolsey was born in 1895 and died in 1968, she was a American poet
and novelist ,In 1930 she married the historian and writer Gerald Brenan, who
lived mainly in Spain.She is buried with her husband in the English Cemetery
of Málaga.
Jorge Guillén was born in 1893 and died in 1984, he was a spanish poet and
literary critic, member of the Generation of '27.
4. General José María de Torrijos
General José María de Torrijos was born in Madrid in 1791. He was the son of a
noble family . He was a spanish liberal military,he fought in the Spanish War of
Independence
The revolutionary expedition to Malaga from Gibraltar turned out to be a trap and he
was executed by firing squad on a beach in 1831
5. Cimetière Père-Lachaise
Il se trouve dans le quartier dela
villette/belleville/canal saint-martin,
c'est le plus célébre et le plus
grand cimetière de la capitale,
aujourd'hui sur une surface de 44
hectares...
Le 21 mai 1804 le cimetière a été
ouvert.
Au sud du cimetière, c'est le mur
de la Federated, Où 147
populaires ont été fusillés.
Dans ce cimetière se trouvent
Marcel Marceau le plus célebre
mime,Fréderic Chopin un
compositeur polonais Georges
Méliès un illusionniste et cinéaste
français et Oscar Wilde un écrivain
et un poète irlandais
6. Oscar Wilde
Oscar Wilde a été un écrivain et un poète
irlandais.Il est né à Dublin le 16 Octobre 1854 et
il est mort à Paris le 30 novembre 1900.Il a
étudié au Trinity collège Cdublin.Il s'est mourié
avec Constance Lloyd.En 1876 il a gagné la
première place dans la littérature classique.
7. El cementerio Ingles
El Cementerio se encuentra en la Av.Príes en Málaga. Al principio la
idea de ir a un cementerio es un poco tétrico pero una vez que estas
allí te das cuenta que es un lugar hermoso con plantas exóticas y da
gusto pasear por allí, en el cementerio hay dos partes una mas
antigua y otra más reciente en este cementerio hay personajes
celebres como Robert Boyd,Jorge Guillén...
En el cementerio ya no entierran a gente ahora es un monumento
historico de Málaga.
