4. Abstract
The aim of the present study is to:
discuss and investigate how to teach the
methodology effectively and whether they are
implemented.
he ways they should be practiced and are they being
practiced.
Are the right classroom assessment techniques used
properly.
what way has methodology changed throughout the
years and which method appeals more to students.
observe the major findings of teacher effectiveness.
5. Introduction
According to Oxford Advanced learners dictionary
Dynamics mean:
•The energy and enthusiasm to make new things
happen or to make things succeed.
•Teaching Dynamics online is defined as :
•A developmental service to assist academic staff with
the identification of areas of strength as well as areas
of improvement in their teaching.
6. contd…
•The importance of teaching dynamics is increasing day
by day with the upcoming trends and the advent of
latest technologies.
• Ideas and culture, religion, ethnic values etc all play a
major role in influencing teaching dynamics.
• Teaching dynamics vary from culture to culture and
country to country.
• In this qualitative research we would discuss some
teaching dynamics that are universally common among
all.
• It would be a qualitative research and the
investigation would be based on the dynamics such as
classroom environment, student teacher relationship.
7. Literature Review
The most successful styles are those that develop as
naturally as possible from a teacher’s own personal
characteristics.
“Teachers and classroom process are now front and
center, and they are generally agreed to be key to
education quality” (Leu 2005,p. 2)
The most effective teaching style for you will be one
that reflects a combination of sound teaching
techniques, knowledge of the subject, enthusiasm for
teaching, and sensitivity to your own personal
characteristics.
8. contd..
Lecturing is one of the oldest and most common
methods of teaching at colleges and universities.
•Begin with your lesson topic for the day.
• What objectives would you like for your students to
meet
•What terms, concepts, and background information do
you need to provide your students to help them with
the lesson.
9. contd..
•Then draft a rough lesson plan from these answers
and decide what to leave out
•To keep a lecture focus and concise write a one
sentence statement that covers the heart of the
entire lecture.
10. contd…
Organising: a lecture can make all the difference in
whether students retain the material or understand it
in the first place. “Efficacious teachers are more likely
to stay in teaching, put more time into teaching and
show greater effort in classroom planning and
organization and greater enthusiasm for teaching”
(Cheung 2006, p. 436)
Presentation: “…an effective teacher
is one who quite consistently achieves goals which
either directly or indirectly focus on the learning of
their students” (p. 18).
13. Modern teaching methods are different from older
methods because they reflect societies improved
understanding of child psychology.
•Modern teaching methods emphasize student
participation.
•Avoid Rote memorization.
• Introduction of technology such as
internet, telephones, television etc.
•Teacher politeness instead of beating.
•Modern teaching methods raise the thirst to get a
higher degree.
14. Teacher effectiveness
Clarity of presentation:
Effective teachers communicate clearly and directly
with their students.
Effective teachers ask a lot of questions and attempt
to involve students in class discussion
There should be a mix of product and process
question.
Classroom climate is a significant teacher factor.
15. Research Methodology
This is a qualitative research, dealing with an
argumentative contention.
Research has been done for this paper through
varied resources in both electronic and printed form
via questionnaires.
The time span permitted for this research was
limited and so is the word limit.
The purpose of this paper is restricted for the
students in Lahore. But it can be used for further
research.
16. Analysis
Majority of the students wanted a democratic
relationship in a teacher student interaction.
Most of the students preferred teacher-teacher
discussion than teacher-student discussion. This
shows that the present generation wants a friendly
class environment in which they are free to share
opinions, ideas etc with their teachers.
This is proved by the fact that the 60 percent
students understood only 50-60 percent of the
teachers lecture and 90 percent students prefer
group discussion rather than lecture method.
17. contd…
•About 80 percent of students say that their teacher
maintain good eye contact while giving a lecture .
•60-70 percent students said that their teacher cram too
much information in a single lecture .
•Thus teachers need to improve their teaching methods
and propagate teaching effectively.
•This is again due to poor student assessment and
creates a monotony in daily life.
•This is proved by the fact that mostly teachers cannot
concentrate on their job due to lack of teacher training
and lack of government facilities.
18. Conclusion
To conclude, this research proves that teachers
should change the teaching methodology. Teachers
should come with innovative ideas. So that the
students will not get bore with the same
methodology and they can polish their abilities.
Teacher’s democratic attitudes enhance the students’
confidence. Teacher’s interaction and eye contact
raise the student ability to come up. Finally a teacher
should improve his teaching methodology and
propagate teaching effectively.
