taught and pedagogy is the way that the
content is conveyed to
• Three basic types of curriculum design—
subject-centered, learner-centered, and
problem-centered design.
• A good curriculum reflects the needs of
the individual and the society as a whole

Learning Assessment
• Purpose of assessment is to improve students' learning and
teachers' teaching
• Four common types of assessment—diagnostic, formative,
benchmark and summative.
• Use proper assessment tools to make informed decisions to
enhance student learning.
• Reliability. a measure of the consistency of test or research results.
• Validity. a measure of the accuracy of the results of a test or study.
Class Room and Culture
• A trusting environment empowers students to become accountable
for their own learning
• A positive classroom culture is characterized by a non-threatening
atmosphere
• Step out of your comfort zone and talk to colleagues or visit settings
where your students come from.
• Redirect your role in the classroom from instructor to facilitator.
• Maintain a strict level of sensitivity to language concerns.
