Lenox Drive Outfall Restoration

Description:
The Lenox Drive Outfall Restoration Project was substantially completed on October 30, 2015. The
project consisted of the restoration of 100 linear feet of eroded channel located in a Resource
Protection Area and behind the properties of 4203 & 4205 Lenox Drive. The goals of the project were
to address public safety concerns, stabilize a deeply eroded channel by using natural stream design
techniques, and provide enhanced water quality.
Project Overview:
• Construct an imbricated stone plunge pool and seven single step cross vane rock structures
• Install rock cascade to tie in and match grades of the newly constructed outfall channel and the
receiving perennial stream
• Revegetate with native plants, trees and shrubs to promote reforestation in disturbed areas
• Provide reduction of 5.3 lbs of Total Nitrogen per year, 2.4 lbs of Total Phosphorus per year, and
4,639 lbs of Total Suspended Solids per year
