Micrography is the use of very small text to make an image. This presentation discusses the historical and contemporary use of micrography and student examples to function as an introduction to an art lesson.

●The masorah was a system of marginal notes that
aided the reader in correct pronunciation, intonation,
etc.
●Micrography was a way for the scribes to be creative
in the rigid and structured writing that that was part of
copying the masorah (Avrin, n.d.).

● Micrography has been expanded far beyond use in
masorahs.
● Micrography has been used in advertisements,
movie posters, and other things.
