"It's official," the king declared to the entire kingdom, "the wedding of Princess Bubblegum and
Jack has now passed and the couple is happily married!"
At least that's what the king thought, Jack and Princess Bubblegum were miserable. Neither of them
were happy.
"Why did you accept a marriage proposal from my father if you don't love me," Princess
Bubblegum asked.
Jack replied, "Because it was the chance to marry a princess who wouldn't want to marry you."
"Jack I actually found someone I love so we need to get a divorce, please," Princess Bubblegum
pleaded.
"No! I don't want to be the one who broke up with you because your father will kick me and my
mother out of the kingdom," Jack responded.
Princess Bubblegum replied with in an angry tone, "Fine, i'll get the divorce and i'll make sure that
i'll never see you again!" After the argument Princess Bubblegum marched down to her father's
office and demanded that Jack and her get a divorce and Jack should not be seen in the kingdom

"You can have the divorce, also do you want his mother kicked out as well," the king asked. ool.

Summary Of Paul Haven's 'Poisoned Pretzel'
Paul Haven, the author of the story, "The Curse of the Poisoned Pretzel", developed the perspective
that Skidmore was guilty of poisoning his brother without actually stating it by describing his
appearance as someone who looks distrustful and suggesting his motives. Initially, the baseball
team, the Sluggers were found by Manchester Boodlebrooks, a popular bubblegum maker. In their
first year, the Sluggers won their first World Series championship, but unable to win another after
that as many feel as though a curse caused by Skidmore killing his brother. In the first place, the
author used sinister language to paint Skidmore as a suspicious person, competent of murdering his
brother. "He always wore a black overcoat and hats that were ... Show more content on

To start, Skidmore's loathing to Manchester caused him to act impulsively and kill him. Paul Haven
outright stated that Skidmore hated his brother in the quote, " Skidmore hated his brother so much."
Due to the fact that Skidmore was allergic to bubblegum, something his brother was notorious for,
he had taken Manchester's business as a personal insult and wanted to get revenge on him by
poisoning something Manchester liked. Moreover, Skidmore was jealous of his brother's wealth and
success that came from something he detested. After Manchester's death, Paul Haven used words to
underdetermine Skidmore's sincerity for killing his brother. "Skidmore insisted that he felt terrible
about the tragedy." This example illustrated how although Skidmore desperately attempted to tell
people that he was innocent and felt horrible for his brother, he was actually privately joyful for
Manchester as he later inherited all of his brother's fortune including his baseball team. Additionally,
the author added how the Sluggers had not won a championship ever since the Skidmore inherited
them, encouraged the fact that this was a punishment for Skidmore for murdering his brother. In the
final analysis, the author advocated Skidmore's wrongdoing through examining his

Emergency Bubblegum Price Control Act Case Study
The facts of this case are that Congress has enacted the Emergency Bubblegum Price Control Act.
Under it, the Price Administrator was given the authority to "establish such maximum price or prices
that in his judgment will be generally fair and equitable and will effectuate the purposes of the act,"
at any time when, in the Price Administrator's judgment, bubblegum prices rise or threatened to rise
to an extent or in a manner inconsistent with the purposes of the Act. The issue at hand is whether
the Act articulates an "intelligible principle" sufficient to constitute a valid delegation of power.
Under the "Nondelegation Doctrine", the principle in administrative law states that congress cannot
delegate its legislative powers to agencies.

United Airlines Customer Service Essay
Hey do you want to get a bloody face, broken glasses, and be pulled off the plane? Travel with
United Airlines and you can get just that. On a recent flight, United Airlines had to make room for
four of their employees on the overbooked flight. This meant that they had to open up a few seats by
asking their seated customers to get off the flight. United Airlines asked their customers for
volunteers, when no one willingly volunteered, they picked four customers at random. Three of the
four willingly got off the flight but he fourth one said "no". He was a doctor and needed to return in

This is showing satire by having the employee ask if they would like to get dragged through the
seat. In this example there is also indirect satire as well because, if you ever see this cartoon you
would know what it is about and what happened. It also ironic because the lady at the desk asked if
the guy wanted a window seat or get dragged through the aisle. This is an effective satire because
she is asking what type of seat they would like. Another example of satire is they are showing irony
because the guy looks super surprised and the woman is just asking just like it is just another
question they have. The second example is a sign saying, "It's time to kick butt and chew
bubblegum, and we're all outta gum." There is satire in this sign because they are using the
bubblegum like the seats on the airplane. When they said we are out all outta bubblegum it is saying
that there is no more seats open for the customers. The sign also has broken glasses on it because
when they pulled the guy off the airplane they broke his glasses, in addition to "kicking" the butt of
the passenger that they dragged off the plane. This example is also indirect satire because you know
what happened to the guy who got pulled off the flight. The slogan that is used in the cartoon is
about violence. There is effective satire in this cartoon, because

Positives And Negatives Of Bubblegum
The average person chews 280 pieces of chewing gum every year, according to Statistic Brain. If
each piece is chewed for thirty minutes, that's 8,400 minutes of chewing gum every year for the
average person. Bubblegum was created in 1928 from an ingredient called chicle, a sap found in
trees located in Central America, as researched by Gabriella Agnello. Agnello later stated that in
World War II, scientists found a way to make a gum base out of a rubber with the same qualities as
chicle. Nowadays, bubblegum has almost become a problem. The smacking sound is rude, and no
one likes getting their hair cut off because someone left gum on their pillow. There are, however,
some positives to bubble gum that make these annoyances seem minimal. Bubblegum is made
through a series of steps, resulting in a product that can improve test scores. The first step to making
this sticky, pink mixture is to check all the raw ingredients, according to Wrigley. All the ingredients
are sampled by experts before they can be used. This is a basic food protocol. The raw ingredients
include a synthetic gum base made of plastics and rubbers, sweeteners, softeners, bulking agents,
flavorings, colorings, and a small amount of preservative, as stated in Discovery. The synthetic base
is what makes the gum stretchy and chewy. The act of chewing, more or less, is what makes the
brain do better in tests, and improve memory.

Bubblegum Narrative
For each person in my family, there was always something that made us happy. For my mom, it
would be getting a coupon for half off at Nordstroms. For my sister, it would be a bottle of sickly–
sweet smelling perfume. Finally, for me, it was a pack of bubblegum. These interests did change
throughout the years, but I remember how much I loved bubblegum. I don't know what it was about
it, but the chewy substance always intrigued me, and it still does. However, one pack of bubblegum
taught me one of the most important lessons about myself in my life. It was the day of my birthday,
a cold december evening. We had went to the store to buy some ingredients for by special birthday
dinner. We gingerly picked up each ingredient from their aisles as we headed for the checkout. ...

was too busy conversing with the cashier, so she didn't notice I had went to another empty checkout.
It's funny how I didn't even remember taking the gum, especially considering the odd sounding
flavor. The chewy substance bursted through my taste buds, eventually until it filled up my whole
mouth, it stretching around my throat, making it hard to breathe. "My plan is working." I thought to
myself. Little did I know, that there was a tall old man standing behind me. "You stealin' that, son?"
He bellowed. I opened my mouth to protest, but there was so much gum in there that I couldn't even

commotion, and she told the old man to get away from me. She made me spit out all of the gum, and

Why Does Skidmore Believe In The Curse Of The Poisoned...

Skidmore never liked his brother since he was so into gum and he couldent even eat it. Thats why
skidmore made the pretzel, because he was tired of his brother handing out bubble gum to
everybody but he couldent eat it. His invention was present at every ballpark except the one that his

and people suspected it involved his brother. The news just reported as if he choked but many
people think otherwise. There are many reasons throughout this story that may lead you to believe

The first step to blowing a bubble is to get the right kind of gum. I would get bubble gum, because if
you get other types of gum that can make bubbles but not as big they will pop easier. Some types of
gum taste like bubblegum others taste like mint. But it doesn't matter what color the gum is or the
favor. When you open the gum you should smell bubble gum if that is the type of gum you are using
Some gums are also stickier than bubblegum when they pop, making them harder to get off your

The next thing you would do is take the bubble gum and take off the wrapper and put the gum in

Princess Bubblegum Sexuality
Sexuality "What Was Missing": At the start of the episode, Finn is shown alone holding a pink lump
of Princess Bubblegum's hair that he had hidden under the couch in his tree home. He blushes when
he is caught by Jake and Beemo. We later find out that her hair is one of his 'beloved' items that
means a lot to Finn. Which both suggest that male Finn has a crush on female Princess Bubblegum
and thinks of her as more than a friend. In addition, Finn sings the lyrics: "What am I to you?/Am I a

Compare And Contrast San Luis Obispo
Two towns. Both located on the coast of California. Both are small, bounded by the ocean. Both
hold around 40,000 citizens. One town, Martinez, is my hometown. The other, San Luis Obispo, is
four hours south of it and home to my favorite college. On the outside, they seem pretty similar, but
after experiencing the culture and lifestyle of each, one could not disagree with me when I say they
are extremely different. The most notable differences are the coasts of each one, their downtown
areas, and the activities provided by each city.

constant wind takes away from the breathtaking views and it always seems to be overcast when I'm

It is full of antique shops and restaurants which are usually fairly empty. Inhabitants of Martinez
enjoy driving to neighboring cities to shop and grab a bite to eat. The streets are silent every day
except Sundays. On Sundays farmers, vendors, and cooks set up stands for the farmer's market. We
get a reasonable turnout as people come from ten a.m. to two p.m. to buy their fruits and vegetables.
Thursday nights are farmer's markets nights for San Luis Obispo. Citizens come weekly and
vacationers will extend their stay to experience the well known event. The streets flood with people,
food, and all sorts of smells. Eating dinner there is typical, and many linger and chat with friends
and strangers alike. On the six other days of the week, unlike Martinez, the streets are not empty.
There are hundreds of name brand stores and restaurants. People can shop with friends, chat in the
plazas, stick their gum on the wall of bubblegum alley, or simply enjoy a stroll through the town.
The first time I explored downtown SLO, I was awestruck by the buzzing, upbeat atmosphere.

Should Gum Be Allowed At School?
Should Gum be Allowed at School? You either love or hate the idea of chewing gum at school but
have you thought of all of the evidence supporting it? Many different studies show the effects of
gum on students, but each show a different result, leaving people's opinions diverse. Some studies
show that chewing gum helps test scores increase while teachers and students say it can be
distracting and messy. Some students stick their gum under their tables or desks instead of taking the
chance of getting caught while throwing it away. Personally I think that gum should be allowed
during testing and other concentration based work. One reason why I believe gum should be allowed
at school is because studies have proven that it increases grade point average. Baylor College of
Medicine studied 108 eighth graders for 14 straight weeks. Half of them chewed gum during school
work and homework while the other half didn't. They noticed a three percent raise in the grades of
those who chewed gum. If we were allowed to chew gum during school work and tests but then had
to spit it out at the door when class was over, our grades would also have the chance to increase. For
this reason I believe that chewing gum would be beneficial to students with memory problems that
need a little extra boost to help them reach their full potential. This way teachers and students would
both benefit for this new rule. In addition to the increase in students' grades it has also been shown
to relieve stress.

How Does The Amount Of Chewing Affect The Mass Of The Gum...
Analysis Intro and background info: For this lab, we tried to find out whether 10 minutes of chewing
bubblegum would increase or decrease the mass of the bubble gum. The mass of the bubblegum
might increase, because we are adding saliva to it, or decrease, because we are breaking the
ingredients in the gum down. Problem question: Our problem question was, "How does the amount
of time chewing affect the mass of the bubblegum?" Research: When we chew something, we break

of Error One source of error could have been that we didn't stop chewing when the timer/stopwatch

would've if we only chewed for 2 minutes. For example, on our data table, at the 2 minute mark,
instead of 6.5 grams, if we didn't stop chewing, the mass could be 6 grams, making our data
inaccurate. Another source of error could have been that we didn't suck out all of our saliva from the

affected the data because the saliva adds mass to the bubblegum, making our data inaccurate.

K-Pop Art Performance Essay
K–Pop: The Raise of Art Performances
Music has become a daily consumption of modern society; Either the high or the bottom class,
everybody loves music. Among all music genre, pop music dominates the playlists of music lovers.
The Instruments that are widely used in pop music is familiar, so that the melody, rhythm, and the

pop music which is now caught world's attention, that is K–Pop or Korean Pop. Korean Pop is a part

Gender Roles In Adventure Time
Animated shows have become an influential source of childhood narrative in contemporary media.
Adventure Time by Pendleton Ward (2010) has been a part of the most popular cartoons among
children and youth. In this essay, children are those between the ages of 0–14, and youth being
individuals aged between 15–24 years old. It is the gender duality in Adventure Time (2010) that I
will explore in this essay, and roles in Western society divided by gender which echoes throughout
this particular narrative. Being a cartoon, it helps mould and cement the idea of heteronormative
relations through its fantastical, post–apocalyptic setting. The show cannot seem to escape the
embedded dualism in language. While the cast is composed of a varied ensemble ... Show more

In retaining the value of a 'hero saving a princess', it is able to "inscribe behaviour" through narrative
(Manderson, 2003: 90), and it is this that the animation is able to inscribe values that fall under the
gender binary. It can be hard to escape the terminologies that identify the difference between the
male and the female, without intersex acknowledgement. The princess will always be female, and
the hero, male. The principal antagonist of the first half of the series, the Ice King, is also male.
Most of the female figures are under attack from the villain and are promptly saved by the classic
hero–and–sidekick dynamic. This, then, is a child's introduction and the cementing of the values of
power dynamics within youth: the female needing to be saved by masculine oppression by another
male. The main females are not entirely helpless: as the story progresses, they come to show power
of their own. The gender barrier between male and female remains, and generally follows the pattern
of binaries, "which posit men and women as complete opposites" (Leavy and Trier–Bieniek, 2014:
123). The appearances of male and female characters are also distinct most of the time: haircuts and
clothing choices almost always indicate where the character sits upon the gender binary, allowing
the audience to decipher their gender in the show

Maple School Should Allow Their Students to Chew Gum...
Gum. When you hear that word you think all the different brands and flavors the world has created.
There is mint, apple, banana, cinnamon, bubble gum, cotton candy, and many more. When you hear
the word gum do you even think about gum helping you in school? Well, its true gum has been
proven multiple times that it can improve test scores, memory, and concentration in school. Theres
only one issue for some students, their school doesn't allow them to chew gum. Maple school
doesn't allow their students to chew gum during class, but knowing all the benefits it can bring, it is
absurd that they don't allow it. Maple school should allow their students to chew gum during class.
One reason students at Maple school should chew gum during class is that studies have found that if
you chew the same flavor gum during a test, that you chewed when you were studying for the test,
you will remember the information more easily.Yes, we all know those people that blow bubbles,
snap the gum, and chew obnoxiously. This can be a distraction to the people working around them,
but the teacher has control of what the kids do. If the student continues to be a distraction the teacher
has permission to have the student spit the gum out. Serge Ohyper, from Life Science in an article
titled ,Chewing Gum Increases Memory, stated, "The chewing motion gets the blood flowing to the
head, the researchers suggest where it improves memory, according to how quickly you recall

Themes In Adventure Time
The show I'll be using to depict various unit topics throughout this course will be Adventure Time,
created by Pendleton Ward. The show originally began where twelve– year–old Finn battles evil in
the Land of Ooo. Assisted by his magical dog, Jake, Finn roams the Land of Ooo righting wrongs
and battling evil. Usually that evil comes in the form of the Ice King, who is in search of a wife.
He's decided he should wed Princess Bubblegum, though she doesn't want to marry him. Still, he
persists in trying to steal her away, and Finn and Jake, along with Lady Raincorn (a cross between a
unicorn and a rainbow) do their best to keep her from harm. However, as the show progresses, so

kingdoms are ruled by either princesses, or the ice king (ruler of the Ice Kingdom). Most of the
Candy People are candies, fruits, or other sweets. Many of them have similar attributes, including
major gullibility, low intelligence, a love for parties (whether thrown by their princess or by others,

How would one go about blowing an impressive bubble with the least amount of work? Thus is the
problem a team of high school students planned to tackle, to do this we developed an experiment to
determine which of five types or brands of gum was the easiest to blow an impressive bubble. To do
this we selected a talented chewer and bubble gum blower from within our group, and he chewed
each piece of gum for three minutes and blew each gum three time before spitting them out. We
recorded each bubble gum diameter and averaged them. The results are clearly outlined in the chart

Analysis Of Paul Haven's 'The Curse Of The Poisoned Pretzel'
In the story "The Curse of the Poisoned Pretzel" by Paul Haven, the author encourages the reader
that Skidmore Boddlebrooks is guilty of poisoning his brother, Manchester Boddlebrooks by
convincing him to be the first to try "his" new invention called the "pretzel." In this story, the author,
Paul Haven does not actually state that Skidmore was guilty of killing his brother. Unlike his older
brother, Manchester Boddlebrooks who was very friendly, generous, and had a kind smile, Skidmore
Boddlebrooks was very creepy, frightening, had shadowing eyes and sinister looks. While
Manchester Boddlebrooks was admired by many fans and players, for he often offered sweets and
candies to his players and fans after baseball games, and often invited his players to visit his
mansion for weekend parties, Skidmore Boddlebrooks was not popular and well–liked. Skidmore
was so jealous of Manchester because he was so in love with bubblegum and he even decorated his
mansion with a bubble gum theme, such as adding a bubblegum flavored soda fountain and a
bubblegum hot air balloon. "The mansion was painted all red, the color of Boddlebrooks's most
favorite flavor of gum, Winning–Streak Watermelon. It had a fountain in the back that spouted
bubble–gum–flavored soda and a giant hot–air balloon that looked like the biggest bubble ever
blown." As his fortune from the bubble–gum continued to grow, Skidmore was grew even more
jealous. "Skidmore saw his brother's sweet, chewable candies as a personal insult. The fame and
riches the gum brought Manchester made it even worse." (para. 7) This proves that Skidmore was
desirous of his brother's wealth and fame. Skidmore Boddlebrooks yearned for fame and wealth, just
like his brother, he claimed credit for inventing the pretzel and fed it to his brother. Additionally,
Skidmore was not honest because the pretzel had been invented long ago. "'It's a new snack food
I've been working on. I call it a pretzel.'" Manchester had already known that the pretzel was not a
novelty, and that it had been invented long long ago. . "Now, Manchester was an educated man with
a passion for junk food, so he was well aware that the pretzel had been invented more than a
thousand years before by a lonely European

Music Videos : The Video, You And I, By F. N. B Pop Music
By the same token, visually stunning music videos also captured fans from across the globe. Korean
pop music is known for having sophisticated and visually stimulating music videos. "K–pop musical
content includes not only audio aspects but also visuals that flow" (KOCIS: K–pop 44–45).
Entertainment companies spend thousands of dollars in producing a music video with intricate
concept themes, computer–generated (CG) effects, and colorful background. Watching K–pop music
videos is like watching a drama series with plots twists, cliffhangers, and open–ended stories that
stimulate audience's creativity in forming theories about the ending of the video. For example, the
music video of IU's (K–pop solo artist under Loent Entertainment) "You and I" is "a fantasy
romance that transcends time and space" (MTVK). The story of the video revolves around the
female protagonist building a time machine for unknown reasons, which leaves the narrative open–
ended, which induces fans to speculate theories about the ending of the story. Formulating an
extraordinary storyline to blend with any song is one of the most ideal and sensible ways to generate
a remarkable and noteworthy music video. Some music videos have storylines that are indeed
surprising in bringing out certain sentiments and emotions, while some music videos focus on the
visuals that are flashy, colorful and give out a "wow" factor. For example, the song "Comeback

Chewing Gum Should Be Allowed In School Essay
What is one change that could be made to make schools better? What do you think should be
changed? In my opinion, one rule that should be changed to make our school better is give
authorization for kids to chew gum. In fact, scientist have established that chewing gum can help
enhance the student learning capability in numerous ways. Therefore, the rationale being is that kids
that chew gum should be allowed to in school reason being it could help them stay more focused
and become enhanced students, it could also help enhance their memory, and I have heard people in
school saying that when they are chewing gum it helps them stay relaxed. However, chewing gum
should be allowed in school is on behalf of it has been scientifically proven that chewing gum can
cause students to be more focused and manufacture students become better, help them enhance their
memory, and also I have heard from people scoffed around school that when they chew gum it helps
them stay relaxed.
Kids should be able to chew gum during school reason being is that it has been scientifically proven
that chewing gum can form students to stay more focused in making them better student. On the
other hand, the principal's and teachers think gum should not be allowed because they think gum is
an interruption considering that the students' would most likely be blowing bubbles and making
commotion with their bubble gum. However, if that did happen all the teachers would have to say is
everyone needs to provoke blowing bubbles and then students should stop. When the teacher gives
out, work it has been scientifically proven to help them stay more focused, so that means chewing
gum could cause the students want to be less focus on their surroundings and stay more focused on
getting their work done. Then, if they start getting their work done, that means that they are
becoming superior students.
Another, reason kids and students should be able to chew gum during school is it has also been
scientifically proven to help improve the students memory. For example, when students are studying
for a test it could help them remember what they studied about. Next, it can also help them
remember what they learned that day during school thanks to they were

Slugger Curse Essay
The story of the slugger curse is quite an interesting one, due to the fact that it revolves around a
pretzel. Throughout the history of sports teams there has always been superstions invloved with
wins and loses. However, a team that always seemed to come out as a win, were the sluggers. That
was until a major turn of events took place; a death. After Manchester died meraculously, the
sluggers never won another championship. What was the reasoning behind that? Due to questions
surfaced after the death of Manchester, one occured the most; was his brother Skidmore behind the
death? There is many ways that the author hints at the fact that Skidmore killed his brother, but
never comes out and says it. To begin with, one of the author's main subjects leads with food related
items. Such as the topic of the bubblegum allergy that Manchester's brother, Skidmore had. The
author talks about how deathly allergic to bubblegum that Skidmore was. Also that Skidmore
resented his brother for serving it at all of his games, while knowing of his brother's allergy to it.
The author states, " Skidmore saw his brother's sweet, chewable candies as a personal ... Show more

that everyone else, especially the sluggers, thought he did too. The pretzel a curse for the sluggers,

started their losing streak. The author states in his text, " From the moment Manchester
Boddlebrooks choked on the world's first ballpark pretzel, the Sluggers began a string of failures
never before seen by any team in any sport." This goes to prove that the pretzel cursed this team,
and it may have been exactly what Skidmore had wanted all along. His brother was dead, poisoned

The Curse Of The Poisoned Pretzel Analysis
A mixture of excessive food involvement and analysis of personality produce The Curse of the
Poisoned Pretzel. This tale has a theme of food, mainly bubblegum, and the often manifestation in
the text of this theme is practically absurd. Even though this story has a ludicrous amount of bubble
gum, it can be analyzed past this seemingly childish story to reveal human psychological tendencies.
These tendencies are partially responsible for the perception of Skidmore's guilt. Skidmore is
described in a way that makes him seem suspicious, and is therefore assumed to have intentionally
murdered his brother. The perspective that Skidmore is guilty is produced from: the initial
description of him, Skidmore's motive that is introduced, and the events that occur after the death of
Boddlebrooks.
The initial description of Skidmore incriminates him for the murder of his older brother,
Boddlebrooks. Boddlebrooks is described as a successful, lovable man; everything that contradicts
the description of Skidmore. Skidmore is described as, "Thin and wiry... he gave everyone the
creeps," (Paragraph 5). His shady existence gives a foreshadowing to a presumed personality of
untrustworthiness and perhaps the ability to carry out actions that a more upstanding person would
be less expected to accomplish. This is the first inclination that Skidmore could be capable or
susceptible of murdering his brother. A human misconception is that the outward appearance of a
person is what dictates what the

Danny L Harle Broken Flowers Essay
Unlike most of collective/label PC Music's other biggest producers, Danny L Harle is classically
trained, having studied at Goldsmiths, University of London. This might have been insignificant, but
Harle's music does have a classical bent to it. Unlike his contemporaries A. G. Cook, Hannah
Diamond, and SOPHIE, who tend to rely on percussion or simple and sweet pop rhythms, Harle's
songs are surprisingly sophisticated in their composition. This is tangible on Broken Flowers,
Harle's debut EP – each of its four songs feature not only the trademark PC Music aesthetic of high–
pitched bubblegum pop, but also a housier undertone, one that is more fit for a tropical dancefloor
than a Papa Song's. Although some of the rubbery aspect of PC Music's poppier side is lost in this
release, it gains a dark allure to it, one that is obviously missing in a lot of bubblegum bass. Broken
Flowers is a fantastic debut from Danny L Harle; although his contemporaries might have better

melodic depth, which turns this release from a mediocre A. G. Cook tribute into a new and unique

Essay on Inelligible Principle
The enactment of the Emergency Bubblegum Price Control Act represents a delegation of
bubblegum price–setting power to the Price Administrator. Under the U.S. Constitution, Article I,
the legislative powers of the federal government are vested in the U.S. Congress, however, the
courts have recognized the congressional authority to obtain assistance from other branches of the
government, providing that the legislature "lay down by legislative act an intelligible principle to
which the person or body authorized to fix such rates is directed to conform". Whitman v. Am.

"Which will effectuate the purposes of the Act" has circular logic as the price setting is both the
means and the purpose in itself. The only meaningful instruction is "in his [the Price
Administrator's] judgment", which effectively gives the Administrator a free hand in setting the
price maximums.
The second prong of the test is easily met as the Act specifies which entity is authorized under this
delegation, in this case the Price Administrator. However, there is insufficient information in the
case at hand to determine whether the Price Administrator is an existing entity or a newly created
agency, and if it is newly created, whether the Act specifies appointment of the officers and the
supervision structure.
The third prong is the boundaries of the delegated authority. In Mistretta, the Sentencing
Commission was instructed to stay within the boundaries of the statutory maxima prescribed by
existing statutes and by using a formula delineated in the enabling statute. Some prohibitions were
also noted in the statute which further defined the boundaries of the Commission's authority. Again,
in comparison, the Emergency Bubblegum Price Control Act has no such provisions. The Price
Administrator is authorized to set the prices at whichever level he sees fit and at whatever time, in
his judgment, the prices rise or threaten to rise to a level inconsistent with the purposes of the Act,

caused many complications between her mother and her. She was born premature and had trouble
breathing. She was kept in an intensive care unit for a couple of days. After a week she was healthy
and able to go home to meet her family.
Confidence
As little Jessica began to go to school, she was somewhat introverted. Fellow pupils were gravitated
towards her. She was considered popular, although she rarely spoke. One day she convinced her
parent to let her join cheerleading. In cheer, you have to have confidence on the floor, in the field,
and in front of hundreds of people. This forced her to come out of her shell and made her feel self–
assured. This led to Jessica to become comfortable with giving speeches in class and having random
conversations with strangers.
Effortless driving? Now at the age of sixteen, Jessica is ready to start learning how to drive. She was
always fascinated by how people drove and how they parked in narrow spaces. It's finally her turn to
be behind the wheel. The first time she drove on the road was pretty good and her vertical parking
was perfect. The real challenge was learning to parallel parking. Parallel parking was not her forte
on the first try. After taking a month break of parking; she tried again and managed to perfectly

Kpop Versus American Pop
American Pop Music VS Korean Pop Music
"I don't care much about music. What I like is sounds"
– Dizzy Gillespie
Imagine tickets being sold out in only a matter of 10 minutes across the globe in major cities like
L.A., N.Y, Paris, Tokyo, and Seoul. But just who could be selling out concerts like this? Is it Lady
Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift? Actually try none, of them, the artist who are
selling out these concerts in major countries around the globe are actually part of a growing
phenomenon called Kpop which is short for Korean pop. Now I know what your thinking there's no
way this could be true, oh but it is. Take for example South Korean rapper PSY, recently released a
music video for his song called ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What you don't know any of them well then it's clearly obvious you don't live in South Korea and
aren't trying to enter the Korean pop music industry. Why is that you ask, simple those three
companies stated above are what's called the Big 3. See in South Korea to become a Kpop star the
only way to become one is audition and try and get into a entertainment company such as the ones
mentioned above. And, when I say this is the only the only I literally mean this is the only way.
There is not a singer, boy group, girl group or band that did not have to audition to get into some
type of entertainment company to become a Kpop singer But there is a reason for this, cause in
Korea once one has auditioned and have been accepted into one of these companies they must be
trained in singing, dancing, music composition, and acting. They also have to take lessons in
English, Japanese, and Mandarin. Or, if your one of the non– Korean natives in a group you must
take Korean lessons. And usually the trainees have to be trained for a minimum of 2–3yrs. And, after
all of that you are finally placed into a group of at least 6–7 other trainees and then you debut as
either a boy or girl group and each member has their own special role within the group. Law 4 The
forming of boy groups and girl groups in Kpop is a big marketing and promoting strategy and is
complete different from how singers in the American pop music scene or marketed and promoted.

Summary Of Paul Haven's 'Poisoned Pretzel' Paul Haven, the author of the story, "The Curse of the Poisoned Pretzel", developed the perspective that Skidmore was guilty of poisoning his brother without actually stating it by describing his appearance as someone who looks distrustful and suggesting his motives. Initially, the baseball team, the Sluggers were found by Manchester Boodlebrooks, a popular bubblegum maker. In their first year, the Sluggers won their first World Series championship, but unable to win another after that as many feel as though a curse caused by Skidmore killing his brother. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To start, Skidmore's loathing to Manchester caused him to act impulsively and kill him. Paul Haven outright stated that Skidmore hated his brother in the quote, " Skidmore hated his brother so much." Due to the fact that Skidmore was allergic to bubblegum, something his brother was notorious for, he had taken Manchester's business as a personal insult and wanted to get revenge on him by poisoning something Manchester liked. Moreover, Skidmore was jealous of his brother's wealth and success that came from something he detested. After Manchester's death, Paul Haven used words to underdetermine Skidmore's sincerity for killing his brother. "Skidmore insisted that he felt terrible about the tragedy." This example illustrated how although Skidmore desperately attempted to tell people that he was innocent and felt horrible for his brother, he was actually privately joyful for Manchester as he later inherited all of his brother's fortune including his baseball team. Additionally, the author added how the Sluggers had not won a championship ever since the Skidmore inherited them, encouraged the fact that this was a punishment for Skidmore for murdering his brother. In the final analysis, the author advocated Skidmore's wrongdoing through examining his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 34. Positives And Negatives Of Bubblegum The average person chews 280 pieces of chewing gum every year, according to Statistic Brain. If each piece is chewed for thirty minutes, that's 8,400 minutes of chewing gum every year for the average person. Bubblegum was created in 1928 from an ingredient called chicle, a sap found in trees located in Central America, as researched by Gabriella Agnello. Agnello later stated that in World War II, scientists found a way to make a gum base out of a rubber with the same qualities as chicle. Nowadays, bubblegum has almost become a problem. The smacking sound is rude, and no one likes getting their hair cut off because someone left gum on their pillow. There are, however, some positives to bubble gum that make these annoyances seem minimal. Bubblegum is made through a series of steps, resulting in a product that can improve test scores. The first step to making this sticky, pink mixture is to check all the raw ingredients, according to Wrigley. All the ingredients are sampled by experts before they can be used. This is a basic food protocol. The raw ingredients include a synthetic gum base made of plastics and rubbers, sweeteners, softeners, bulking agents, flavorings, colorings, and a small amount of preservative, as stated in Discovery. The synthetic base is what makes the gum stretchy and chewy. The act of chewing, more or less, is what makes the brain do better in tests, and improve memory. • 70. Should Gum Be Allowed At School? Should Gum be Allowed at School? You either love or hate the idea of chewing gum at school but have you thought of all of the evidence supporting it? Many different studies show the effects of gum on students, but each show a different result, leaving people's opinions diverse. Some studies show that chewing gum helps test scores increase while teachers and students say it can be distracting and messy. Some students stick their gum under their tables or desks instead of taking the chance of getting caught while throwing it away. Personally I think that gum should be allowed during testing and other concentration based work. One reason why I believe gum should be allowed at school is because studies have proven that it increases grade point average. Baylor College of Medicine studied 108 eighth graders for 14 straight weeks. Half of them chewed gum during school work and homework while the other half didn't. They noticed a three percent raise in the grades of those who chewed gum. If we were allowed to chew gum during school work and tests but then had to spit it out at the door when class was over, our grades would also have the chance to increase. For this reason I believe that chewing gum would be beneficial to students with memory problems that need a little extra boost to help them reach their full potential. This way teachers and students would both benefit for this new rule. In addition to the increase in students' grades it has also been shown to relieve stress. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis Intro and background info: For this lab, we tried to find out whether 10 minutes of chewing bubblegum would increase or decrease the mass of the bubble gum. The mass of the bubblegum might increase, because we are adding saliva to it, or decrease, because we are breaking the ingredients in the gum down. Problem question: Our problem question was, "How does the amount of time chewing affect the mass of the bubblegum?" Research: When we chew something, we break down the piece we are chewing into smaller pieces, making what we are chewing easier to digest. The longer we chew, the more enzymes in our saliva breaks down our food. Chewing is an important part of digestion, and it's important to chew your food thoroughly. According ... This could have affected our data because the bubblegum could have lost more mass than it would've if we only chewed for 2 minutes. For example, on our data table, at the 2 minute mark, instead of 6.5 grams, if we didn't stop chewing, the mass could be 6 grams, making our data inaccurate. Another source of error could have been that we didn't suck out all of our saliva from the gum before removing it from our mouths and measuring the mass of the chewed gum. This could've affected the data because the saliva adds mass to the bubblegum, making our data inaccurate. Instead of 6.5 grams at the 2 minute mark, it could have been 7 ... Adventure Time by Pendleton Ward (2010) has been a part of the most popular cartoons among children and youth. In this essay, children are those between the ages of 0–14, and youth being individuals aged between 15–24 years old. It is the gender duality in Adventure Time (2010) that I will explore in this essay, and roles in Western society divided by gender which echoes throughout this particular narrative. In retaining the value of a 'hero saving a princess', it is able to "inscribe behaviour" through narrative (Manderson, 2003: 90), and it is this that the animation is able to inscribe values that fall under the gender binary. It can be hard to escape the terminologies that identify the difference between the male and the female, without intersex acknowledgement. The princess will always be female, and the hero, male. The principal antagonist of the first half of the series, the Ice King, is also male. Most of the female figures are under attack from the villain and are promptly saved by the classic hero–and–sidekick dynamic. This, then, is a child's introduction and the cementing of the values of power dynamics within youth: the female needing to be saved by masculine oppression by another male. The main females are not entirely helpless: as the story progresses, they come to show power of their own. The gender barrier between male and female remains, and generally follows the pattern of binaries, "which posit men and women as complete opposites" (Leavy and Trier–Bieniek, 2014: 123). The appearances of male and female characters are also distinct most of the time: haircuts and clothing choices almost always indicate where the character sits upon the gender binary, allowing the audience to decipher their gender in the show ... Maple school doesn't allow their students to chew gum during class, but knowing all the benefits it can bring, it is absurd that they don't allow it. Maple school should allow their students to chew gum during class. One reason students at Maple school should chew gum during class is that studies have found that if you chew the same flavor gum during a test, that you chewed when you were studying for the test, you will remember the information more easily.Yes, we all know those people that blow bubbles, snap the gum, and chew obnoxiously. This can be a distraction to the people working around them, but the teacher has control of what the kids do. If the student continues to be a distraction the teacher has permission to have the student spit the gum out. Serge Ohyper, from Life Science in an article titled ,Chewing Gum Increases Memory, stated, "The chewing motion gets the blood flowing to the head, the researchers suggest where it improves memory, according to how quickly you recall information" (Ohyper 1). The show originally began where twelve– year–old Finn battles evil in the Land of Ooo. Assisted by his magical dog, Jake, Finn roams the Land of Ooo righting wrongs and battling evil. Usually that evil comes in the form of the Ice King, who is in search of a wife. He's decided he should wed Princess Bubblegum, though she doesn't want to marry him. Still, he persists in trying to steal her away, and Finn and Jake, along with Lady Raincorn (a cross between a unicorn and a rainbow) do their best to keep her from harm. Gum Lab Hypothesis For the purposes introduction So you're in the school yard and you and your peers are having a bubble blowing contest you, of course want to win with all that street cred on the line. This is a likely scenario for many students across the world because gum is relatively cheap and incredibly plentiful. Marketed Bubble gum originated in 1928 Hypothesis My hypothesis based on past experience with the gum is that Wrigley gum will produce the biggest bubble. Materials list: the various brands of gum (orbit, Wrigley, hubba bubba, bubble yum, and double bubble) 3 mechanical pencils phone (for timer) ruler table 9 sheets of paper 3 people Methods How would one go about blowing an impressive bubble with the least amount of work? Thus is the problem a team of high school students planned to tackle, to do this we developed an experiment to determine which of five types or brands of gum was the easiest to blow an impressive bubble. To do this we selected a talented chewer and bubble gum blower from within our group, and he chewed each piece of gum for three minutes and blew each gum three time before spitting them out. We recorded each bubble gum diameter and averaged them. The results are clearly outlined in the chart below. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 111. Analysis Of Paul Haven's 'The Curse Of The Poisoned Pretzel' In the story "The Curse of the Poisoned Pretzel" by Paul Haven, the author encourages the reader that Skidmore Boddlebrooks is guilty of poisoning his brother, Manchester Boddlebrooks by convincing him to be the first to try "his" new invention called the "pretzel." In this story, the author, Paul Haven does not actually state that Skidmore was guilty of killing his brother. Unlike his older brother, Manchester Boddlebrooks who was very friendly, generous, and had a kind smile, Skidmore Boddlebrooks was very creepy, frightening, had shadowing eyes and sinister looks. While Manchester Boddlebrooks was admired by many fans and players, for he often offered sweets and candies to his players and fans after baseball games, and often invited his players to visit his mansion for weekend parties, Skidmore Boddlebrooks was not popular and well–liked. Skidmore was so jealous of Manchester because he was so in love with bubblegum and he even decorated his mansion with a bubble gum theme, such as adding a bubblegum flavored soda fountain and a bubblegum hot air balloon. "The mansion was painted all red, the color of Boddlebrooks's most favorite flavor of gum, Winning–Streak Watermelon. It had a fountain in the back that spouted bubble–gum–flavored soda and a giant hot–air balloon that looked like the biggest bubble ever blown." As his fortune from the bubble–gum continued to grow, Skidmore was grew even more jealous. "Skidmore saw his brother's sweet, chewable candies as a personal insult. The fame and riches the gum brought Manchester made it even worse." (para. 7) This proves that Skidmore was desirous of his brother's wealth and fame. Skidmore Boddlebrooks yearned for fame and wealth, just like his brother, he claimed credit for inventing the pretzel and fed it to his brother. Additionally, Skidmore was not honest because the pretzel had been invented long ago. "'It's a new snack food I've been working on. I call it a pretzel.'" Manchester had already known that the pretzel was not a novelty, and that it had been invented long long ago. . "Now, Manchester was an educated man with a passion for junk food, so he was well aware that the pretzel had been invented more than a thousand years before by a lonely European ... Korean pop music is known for having sophisticated and visually stimulating music videos. "K–pop musical content includes not only audio aspects but also visuals that flow" (KOCIS: K–pop 44–45). Entertainment companies spend thousands of dollars in producing a music video with intricate concept themes, computer–generated (CG) effects, and colorful background. Watching K–pop music videos is like watching a drama series with plots twists, cliffhangers, and open–ended stories that stimulate audience's creativity in forming theories about the ending of the video. For example, the music video of IU's (K–pop solo artist under Loent Entertainment) "You and I" is "a fantasy romance that transcends time and space" (MTVK). The story of the video revolves around the female protagonist building a time machine for unknown reasons, which leaves the narrative open– ended, which induces fans to speculate theories about the ending of the story. Formulating an extraordinary storyline to blend with any song is one of the most ideal and sensible ways to generate a remarkable and noteworthy music video. Some music videos have storylines that are indeed surprising in bringing out certain sentiments and emotions, while some music videos focus on the visuals that are flashy, colorful and give out a "wow" factor. In my opinion, one rule that should be changed to make our school better is give authorization for kids to chew gum. In fact, scientist have established that chewing gum can help enhance the student learning capability in numerous ways. Therefore, the rationale being is that kids that chew gum should be allowed to in school reason being it could help them stay more focused and become enhanced students, it could also help enhance their memory, and I have heard people in school saying that when they are chewing gum it helps them stay relaxed. However, chewing gum should be allowed in school is on behalf of it has been scientifically proven that chewing gum can cause students to be more focused and manufacture students become better, help them enhance their memory, and also I have heard from people scoffed around school that when they chew gum it helps them stay relaxed. Kids should be able to chew gum during school reason being is that it has been scientifically proven that chewing gum can form students to stay more focused in making them better student. On the other hand, the principal's and teachers think gum should not be allowed because they think gum is an interruption considering that the students' would most likely be blowing bubbles and making commotion with their bubble gum. However, if that did happen all the teachers would have to say is everyone needs to provoke blowing bubbles and then students should stop. When the teacher gives out, work it has been scientifically proven to help them stay more focused, so that means chewing gum could cause the students want to be less focus on their surroundings and stay more focused on getting their work done. Then, if they start getting their work done, that means that they are becoming superior students. Another, reason kids and students should be able to chew gum during school is it has also been scientifically proven to help improve the students memory. For example, when students are studying for a test it could help them remember what they studied about. Next, it can also help them remember what they learned that day during school thanks to they were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Throughout the history of sports teams there has always been superstions invloved with wins and loses. However, a team that always seemed to come out as a win, were the sluggers. That was until a major turn of events took place; a death. After Manchester died meraculously, the sluggers never won another championship. What was the reasoning behind that? Due to questions surfaced after the death of Manchester, one occured the most; was his brother Skidmore behind the death? There is many ways that the author hints at the fact that Skidmore killed his brother, but never comes out and says it. To begin with, one of the author's main subjects leads with food related items. Such as the topic of the bubblegum allergy that Manchester's brother, Skidmore had. The author talks about how deathly allergic to bubblegum that Skidmore was. Also that Skidmore resented his brother for serving it at all of his games, while knowing of his brother's allergy to it. The author states in his text, " From the moment Manchester Boddlebrooks choked on the world's first ballpark pretzel, the Sluggers began a string of failures never before seen by any team in any sport." • 131. The Curse Of The Poisoned Pretzel Analysis A mixture of excessive food involvement and analysis of personality produce The Curse of the Poisoned Pretzel. This tale has a theme of food, mainly bubblegum, and the often manifestation in the text of this theme is practically absurd. Even though this story has a ludicrous amount of bubble gum, it can be analyzed past this seemingly childish story to reveal human psychological tendencies. These tendencies are partially responsible for the perception of Skidmore's guilt. Skidmore is described in a way that makes him seem suspicious, and is therefore assumed to have intentionally murdered his brother. The perspective that Skidmore is guilty is produced from: the initial description of him, Skidmore's motive that is introduced, and the events that occur after the death of Boddlebrooks. The initial description of Skidmore incriminates him for the murder of his older brother, Boddlebrooks. Boddlebrooks is described as a successful, lovable man; everything that contradicts the description of Skidmore. Skidmore is described as, "Thin and wiry... he gave everyone the creeps," (Paragraph 5). His shady existence gives a foreshadowing to a presumed personality of untrustworthiness and perhaps the ability to carry out actions that a more upstanding person would be less expected to accomplish. This is the first inclination that Skidmore could be capable or susceptible of murdering his brother. A human misconception is that the outward appearance of a person is what dictates what the ... Danny L Harle Broken Flowers Essay Unlike most of collective/label PC Music's other biggest producers, Danny L Harle is classically trained, having studied at Goldsmiths, University of London. This might have been insignificant, but Harle's music does have a classical bent to it. Unlike his contemporaries A. G. Cook, Hannah Diamond, and SOPHIE, who tend to rely on percussion or simple and sweet pop rhythms, Harle's songs are surprisingly sophisticated in their composition. This is tangible on Broken Flowers, Harle's debut EP – each of its four songs feature not only the trademark PC Music aesthetic of high– pitched bubblegum pop, but also a housier undertone, one that is more fit for a tropical dancefloor than a Papa Song's. Although some of the rubbery aspect of PC Music's poppier side is lost in this release, it gains a dark allure to it, one that is obviously missing in a lot of bubblegum bass. Broken Flowers is a fantastic debut from Danny L Harle; although his contemporaries might have better music at the moment, this EP proves that the composer–turned–songwriter is here to stay. ... Along with its dancy beat, these arpeggios fill in some of the blank spaces of the PC Music formula, taking away the necessity of more instruments for a larger sound. Under the U.S. Constitution, Article I, the legislative powers of the federal government are vested in the U.S. Congress, however, the courts have recognized the congressional authority to obtain assistance from other branches of the government, providing that the legislature "lay down by legislative act an intelligible principle to which the person or body authorized to fix such rates is directed to conform". Whitman v. Am. Trucking Ass'Ns, 531 U.S. 457 (U.S. 2001), Loving v. United States, 517 U.S. 748 (U.S. 1996), citing Chief Justice Taft in J. W. Hampton, Jr., & Co. v. United States, 276 U.S. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Which will effectuate the purposes of the Act" has circular logic as the price setting is both the means and the purpose in itself. The only meaningful instruction is "in his [the Price Administrator's] judgment", which effectively gives the Administrator a free hand in setting the price maximums. The second prong of the test is easily met as the Act specifies which entity is authorized under this delegation, in this case the Price Administrator. However, there is insufficient information in the case at hand to determine whether the Price Administrator is an existing entity or a newly created agency, and if it is newly created, whether the Act specifies appointment of the officers and the supervision structure. The third prong is the boundaries of the delegated authority. In Mistretta, the Sentencing Commission was instructed to stay within the boundaries of the statutory maxima prescribed by existing statutes and by using a formula delineated in the enabling statute. Some prohibitions were also noted in the statute which further defined the boundaries of the Commission's authority. Again, in comparison, the Emergency Bubblegum Price Control Act has no such provisions. The Price Administrator is authorized to set the prices at whichever level he sees fit and at whatever time, in his judgment, the prices rise or threaten to rise to a level inconsistent with the purposes of the Act, ... One January day, Jessica decided it was time to pop out of the womb. This caused many complications between her mother and her. She was born premature and had trouble breathing. She was kept in an intensive care unit for a couple of days. After a week she was healthy and able to go home to meet her family. Confidence As little Jessica began to go to school, she was somewhat introverted. Fellow pupils were gravitated towards her. She was considered popular, although she rarely spoke. One day she convinced her parent to let her join cheerleading. In cheer, you have to have confidence on the floor, in the field, and in front of hundreds of people. This forced her to come out of her shell and made her feel self– assured. This led to Jessica to become comfortable with giving speeches in class and having random conversations with strangers. And, when I say this is the only the only I literally mean this is the only way. There is not a singer, boy group, girl group or band that did not have to audition to get into some type of entertainment company to become a Kpop singer But there is a reason for this, cause in Korea once one has auditioned and have been accepted into one of these companies they must be trained in singing, dancing, music composition, and acting. They also have to take lessons in English, Japanese, and Mandarin. Or, if your one of the non– Korean natives in a group you must take Korean lessons.
