The Roswell Incident Essays
The Roswell Incident: Fact, Fiction or Military Cover Up?
Some time in July of 1947, a mysterious flying object
zigzagged across the skies of New Mexico. Within twenty–four hours the object disappeared from
radar just as mysteriously as it had appeared. It was last seen in a small town in the middle of the
Arizona desert, it's name, Roswell.      The Roswell incident is one
of the most publicized and well–known accounts of a possible UFO crash in the world. Perhaps the
greatest evidence that a UFO did indeed crash near Roswell, is the wide scale military cover up that
took place after the crash. This along with numerous eyewitness accounts of the crash site, prove
that what ever ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Vandenberg's arrival that the military cover up began. Within a few hours the associated press was
told that Marcel had been mistaken and that infact it was a weather balloon that had crashed not a
UFO. Journalists were permitted to take photographs of the debris. Years later researchers Kevin D.

Theories Of The Roswell Crash
Late one summer night in July of 1947, a couple saw a large glowing object quickly fly across the
sky. It was later reported that a weather balloon crashed nearby. People have often wondered if it
actually was a weather balloon, and some have believed it to be a downed alien craft that the
government covered up. Theories about a Roswell coverup did not become widely known to the
American public until a few decades after the crash. This change in public knowledge demonstrates
the variability of conspiracy theories––some become popular immediately following the events they
try to explain, and some can take years to catch on. From the crash in Roswell in 1947 to current
day, America's public knowledge of theories about Roswell has grown at an unsteady pace, driven
by the types of technology used to disseminate information. America's knowledge of the Roswell
incident has developed in three phases. First, immediately after the crash in 1947, there was some
attention given to the crash, but it was mostly local news reports. Second, after the testimony in
1984 of an eyewitness who was a major in the air force, conspiracies blossomed. Finally, after
interest diminished had begun to diminish, the internet ignited another increase in Roswell theories.
Aside from the immediate attention the crash garnered in 1947, from the time of the crash in 1947 to
the early 1980s, there was little to no knowledge of Roswell theories. Televisions were still a
relatively new invention which had not

Roswell And Ufos
This essay will be about how the perspective of Roswell/UFO's have changed over time. How after
this incident, UFO's have been seen all over the world. In America, over 80% of it's population now
believe that UFO's exist (Wilson). Now for what reason would so many people start to believe that
UFO's exist. Will aliens were believed way before this era, because people have said there's no way
we're the only people in the billions of galaxies. There was no evidence or proof of aliens being
encountered with, but after Roswell's incident, it led to innumerable amounts of people believing
that aliens do exist.
First, Roswell's incident was claimed to be the first encounter with aliens. The first proof that aliens
could exist. When the scene had happened, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It could lead to different shocking outcomes that only the government could imagine. But of course
why, will first if someone is very religious, they can say there is now way one planet in billions of
galaxies only have life, but the government keeps it secret for a very alarming reason. The
government does not want us to be scared or alarmed (THE UFO COVER–UP). It's a very
protective reason for the world to not go into panic and havoc (The UFO COVER–UP).Because of
the reasonings, this shows that aliens exist. For example. it's like hiding something that you know
you've done wrong but can't hide. Giving new explanations and cover up proving it doesn't exist
when all these occurrences have already taken place. There's no way of hiding that the government
is just blinding the public from UFO's, making us worry about our own lives, and our own self
belief. (The UFO COVER–UP).
In conclusion, Roswell's incident has been proven that a UFO has crashed near this area. From why
the military had covered up this situation so quickly, with all the new sightings, evidence proving
aliens have been encountered with at Roswell. Also with the government secrecy, Area 51 being so
secretive, military never giving out word about aliens from all the occurrences that have taken.
These all gives reason for people to believe that aliens do exist. Proving that this incident might
have been the first and also proving that this

The 1947 Roswell Crash Essay
In 1947, an unidentified flying object crashed into the small town of Roswell, New Mexico. The
United States Air Force published a report in 1994. So why do conspiracists still believe an alien
crashed into Roswell? After a hot humid day in July 1947, severe and violent thunderstorms filled
the night sky. Long time farmer, Mac Brazel was used to thunder, and storms out in the country.
Although something about this night was different. He heard an extremely loud crash, though didn't
think much of it. The next morning however, Brazel stumbled upon the debris of a strange object on
his farm. Brazel brought some of the material to a nearby neighbor who urged him to report his find
in hopes of getting a reward. Brazel informed the sheriff ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

A nurse friend of Dennis confides in him that she was called by doctors to assist in an alien autopsy.
Even though she is sworn to secrecy, she must confide in someone. She meets Dennis and draws
him a sketch of what she observed during the "alien autopsy". Strangely enough, she was transferred
from the funeral home shortly after and never heard from again. The news of the crash soon starts to
fade away, and within the end of the year disappears from the news altogether. Nearly 30 years later,
in 1978, Stanton Friedman was prompted to revisit the crash. Stanton Friedman was an unemployed
scientist, and a part–time UFO lecturer. On February 12, 1978 Friedman interviewed a man over the
phone who said he handled the wreckage of a crashed spaceship, but the man, Major Jesse Marcel,
couldn't remember the month or even the year of the event. Marcel expressed that he believed the
military had covered up the recovery of an alien spacecraft. Approximately one year later, William
Moore, a colleague of Friedman, found newspaper clippings of the even that Marcel referred to. The
research that Friedman and Moore uncovered has made the Roswell crash the most celebrated case
in the literature of UFOs. In February of 1980, the National Inquirer ran the interview of Marcel and
Friedman bringing in national and worldwide attention

Speech On Roswell Incident 1947
Speech on the Roswell incident 1947 Can you imagine the U.S government lying to the public to
cover up extraterrestrial life? According to the widely held public opinion, near Roswell, New
Mexico, in July 1947 the United States government recovered a crashed UFO and its extraterrestrial
occupants. This was referred to as the "Roswell Incident" and the U.S. military had covered the
issue up quickly. The original story in the eyes of 'non–UFO buffs' for this conspiracy is that on the
fourth of July weekend 1947 a rancher William Brazel reported to the sheriff that he recover the
remains of "one of them flying saucers" the military was then contacted and Major Jesse Marcel was
assigned to investigate the site. On the 8th of July 1947 after Marcel and 2 Counter Intelligence
Corps agents examined and collected the wreckage there was an announcement to the public that
they recovered the remains of a "flying disc". But the next day this was clarified in a press
conference that what was recovered was only a weather balloon and nothing more. This has killed

Having so many witnesses seems like hard evidence but this can be misleading. The relevant issue
was not how many but the quality of the witnesses such as if they were firsthand or second hand
witnesses and how truthful these accounts are. Bill Moore and Charles Berlitz's only present 25 of
the claimed 70 testimonies in "The Roswell Incident". Out of these 25 only 7 are first hand sources
that claim they saw the alleged saucer remains and only 5 say they handled the material personally
and 1 of them claim that the material was not from an extraterrestrial spacecraft. The rest of the
witnesses are secondary sources from hearsay or did not see the wreckage at

The Day After Roswell By Philip J. Corso
"No child had such an oversized balloon shaped head. It didn't even look human, although it had
human like features" (18). This is a description of an extraterrestrial from the Roswell incident in the
book The Day After Roswell written by Col. Philip J. Corso (Ret.) with WIlliam J. Birnes. This
book is quite the interesting read to say the least. Extraterrestrials, flying saucers, and "foreign
technology" are some of the complications in Corso's autobiography during his time in military
intelligence working at The Pentagon. Corso describes everything between the events of a flying
saucer crash that occurred in Roswell, NM. on July 4, 1947 to the modern day technology that the
United States has managed to reverse engineer due to the crash. ... Show more content on

He was head of the project. Corso was diving much deeper than just the surface of a U.F.O.
conspiracy theory. If anyone's story should be believed it should be Corso's. It is easy to dismiss
many of the eyewitness reports, as after a while everyone was an "eyewitness" just to get some
fame. Corso actually worked on the project in The Pentagon. Many people believe this story is too
outlandish to believe. This is the strategy that The Foreign Technology Desk decided to go for.
Between the time of the Roswell crash and the beginning of The Foreign Technology Desk, the Air
Force had branched off from the Army, taking artifacts with it. This added another layer to difficulty
to keeping the story secret. At first, the military blew off the Roswell crash as a weather balloon and
threatened majority of the eye witnesses. This had kept them quiet for a while but people eventually
talk. The military decided to stop covering it up and would leak little bits of information to people
who would make something out of it. Corso states, "This was called camouflage with limited
exposure" (85). This was in order to make the talking witnesses to look like nut jobs. If they denied
it like it was nothing, then the media thought it was nothing. Eventually tabloids would buy the
stories and then the credibility was lost. This built an alien

Apart from the wreckage which was found, there were three objects that were frequently mentioned.
Three bodies when two were dead and one died in a couple of weeks. No one knows whether it is

Some of these people turned out to be quite highly respected military officers. A few people say that
the bodies were human and that they have been damaged by radiation. This radiation might have
been caused, owing to nuclear weapons that Roswell Army Air Base had been tested, since they
were at the time the only ones which could test nuclear weapons. On the other hand, this theory was
discounted, because this kind of radiation would kill a human being long before such a massive
deformation could occur. People blamed government with covering the whole event. They moved
the wreckage to Dayton in Ohio, to avoid publicity and prevent from a worldwide panic.
In 1995, a film called Alien Autopsy leaked and was presented as an autopsy of the body that was

Roswell History
Over the years, the city of Roswell has experienced many minor and drastic changes both inside and
outside of school. With a new generation comes a new city. Things that were once landmarks of
Roswell are now faint memories. Many existed so many years ago that the underclassmen have no
recollection of the hidden gems in Roswell's past. As the senior class nears graduation, many are
making an extra effort to embrace their hometown. Let's take a trip down memory lane and
remember some of the greatest things Roswell ever had to offer. The weird hut in the Target parking
lot: The stand–alone hut is the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of the famous Target
parking lot. Now, it's an emissions testing building, but, long ago, it used to be an ice cream place.
That's right kids, your parents could pull up to that small hut and get you an ice cream cone for
learning how to potty train. Unfortunately, it didn't last long since right up the road Bruster's became
more popular. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was the coolest place in town since they sold scented pencils of all kinds. To every girl in
elementary school, those white wooden pencils were a staple of success. Looking back now, $5 for a

before kids had Ipads and Hoverboards, the place to spend time was the Roswell Rec playground.
Prior to the cool new plastic playground, there used to be a dull, kindof rickety play structure. The
slides were lame and summer camp recess was a drag. Petland by the Target: Playing with puppies

Roswell Persuasive Speech
Three of my friends were dead! A fourth seriously injured, in surgery. Had they died because we
left? Would I have been able to fight off the assailants and save my friends, had we stayed, or would
they have simply killed me first, before I had a chance to engage them? A warrior and capable
fighter I may be, even though I'm unarmed. I trained with a variety of weapons, but never firearms.
Speed, strength and fighting skills are limited against a firearm. Guns are sometimes called
'equalizers' for a reason. If we had stayed, would we have merely died too? I wish to believe my
abilities might have made the difference, yet am I kidding myself? Was the fierce attack intended to
take me out, and I only escaped by sheer dumb luck? Or did the villains instead target the fur–girls?

clueless owners who don't bother to secure them. All I need to do is find a router in or around El

Injustice In Roswell, New Mexico
In the summer of 1947, a rancher in Roswell, New Mexico, by the name of Mac Brazel, discovered
unusual occurrences and objects on his property. Some of the things he discovered seemed strange
to him because they appeared on his land and he was extremely familiar with every square foot of
that land and knew the strange objects didn't belong to him. What he found included metals, plastics,
and foil reflectors, which were held together by tape forming some sort of apparatus. Not knowing
what to do, he gathered up the objects and contacted the Roswell Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff
didn't know what to do with the material either, so he contacted the local U.S. Air Force base in
hopes that they could get to the bottom of these unusual disturbances on the Brazel Ranch. This
occurrence is known as the "Roswell Incident" and to this day, there are still many unanswered
questions about what really went on. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Air Force investigated the incident by sending soldiers onto the rancher's land. They too
discovered additional mysterious debris, they gathered it up and took it away when they left the
ranch. Four days later, the Air Force announced that a Flying Saucer had landed, then one they
changed their story and said that a weather balloon had crashed. The surrounding community did not
believe this to be true, and neither did the rest of the people in the nation. Americans alike, were not
satisfied with these findings. They believed the government was trying to cover something

The Roswell Incident Analysis
A question has been asked across the world: Do aliens really exist? We've all heard of aliens and
how people might have been abducted by these creatures or even have had implants. This evidence
shows that aliens are real and alive somewhere in our universe. If aliens do exist where are they?
Why are they doing this to the human race? Many people that witnessed the Roswell incident or
experienced it thought it was caused by alien technology. In the article 'The Roswell Incident', the
text states "Many people doubted the air force's story. Why did the government confirm a UFO
crash and then retract it?" This shows the air force tried to cover something up that they didn't want
the public to see. This also shows that some people don't believe

The Roswell incident is a well known topic around the world. Many have different opinions on the
incident, some say it is a government cover–up, other say it was a hoax. The witnesses and the
United States Military different opinions of the Roswell incident help mold the story. The famous

Written Recordings of the official statement quote Lt.
Marcel as saying, "We were so anxious in our investigation that we mistook what is clearly a
weather balloon as some sort of alien space travel device."
(Roswell Reporter pg. 2) After many years of humiliation, Marcel decided to come forward with his
story. He explained that he was forced by the military to change his entire story and that it was no
weather balloon at all. This statement made national news and started a chain of UFO sightings from
excited
UFO enthusiasts (Roswell and Other Government Cover–Ups pg. 4). Most of these sightings were
most likely the wild imaginations of these enthusiasts.
Lt. Marcel had collected many samples from the crashed object on the day of the crash and shown it
to his family. His son was particularly interested in an object which seemingly contained alien
writing. The objects were confiscated by the government and the life of Marcel's son was
threatened. His mother was told not to speak of these things or suffer the consequences. If there was
nothing but a mere weather balloon involved, the government would have no reason to make these

UFOs: The Roswell Mystery
The biggest question we all ask ourselves at one point in time or another is, are we really alone in
the universe? Many believe that all known encounters and evidence is either false, a hoax, or an
attempt at fame and glory. True believers stick to the physical evidence and hard facts that follow
these mysterious encounters. One specific event that occurred at Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 has
baffled theorists and experts for generations and will continue to leave a controversial standpoint on
what really may have occurred. This occurrence in particular has left a lot of unanswered questions
about extraterrestrial existence due to the fact that most of the evidence collected from the incident
is to either to old to be a credible source or the government has covered up the evidence and left a
false influence behind. Overall, how has outside influence altered personal encounters and
experience with extraterrestrial contact with relation to the Roswell Incident? Extraterrestrial
encounters of all forms and kinds leave some kind of evidence whether it is physical or non tangible
evidence like a person's story of seeing a flying saucer or possesses photos of the unidentified flying
object. These forms of evidence aren't always the most reliable as many are reported false and
considered hoaxes. Ever since the incident at Roswell, any information or evidence that proves other

The Controversial Incident: The Roswell Incident

During World War II pilots saw strange, glowing balls of light flying beside their airplanes. They
called these lights "foo fighters," a term based on an expression ("where there's foo, there's fire")
from Smokey Stover, a popular comic strip at the time.
In this case, A crop circle is an area of standing crops that has been flattened in the form of a circle
or a pattern. Some cereologists (people who study crop circles) say that these diagrams must be
created by intelligent alien beings from elsewhere. Also, Even though these diagrams must be
constructed in a very short timespan, the genuine crop circles never show any serious mistakes or
blunders of execution. Cereologists see this as evidence that the aliens must be very intelligent and
much more advanced than we are.
Surprisingly, Some are only small spots of light that move in strange patterns across the night sky.
These are called nocturnal lights (NLs) and are the most commonly reported type of UFO.
Nocturnal lights are not very interesting because the witness can see little detail; without details,
ufologists cannot learn anything new. UFOs can look like saucers, boomerangs, spheres, diamonds,
cigars, triangles, or other strange shapes. They have bright lights, sometimes white or red, other

Was there a U.F.O. at Roswell, New Mexico? In 1947 out in Roswell, New Mexico a rancher found
some unknown debris in his sheep pasture. Though it was said from the local air force that it was
from a crashed weather balloon. Others think it was from the remains of an Alien flying saucer.
Though many believe it may be true and others believe it's false. This paper will show the incident
at Roswell, New Mexico and how it is false. On 1947 at Roswell, New Mexico unknown debris was
found by a rancher named Mac Brazel. Brazel believed that the debris belonged to an Alien aircraft
and many others believe the government know something of aliens. Though many think it is true
there is lots of evidence showing that the debris and the possible sighting of the incident are false.
There are many possibilities of what the debris is if it has nothing to do with aliens. There are two
main possibilities of what the debris is. From History.com it states a possibility that could explain
the debris,"...during the 1950's, when the Air Force conducted a series of secret" dummy drops" over
air bases, test ranges and unoccupied fields across New Mexico,". This could be one of the two
possibilities because the drop dummies were ",featureless dummies with latex "skin" and aluminum

Argumentative Essay On Roswell
Nearly half of our dear earthlings believe that extraterrestrial creatures and UFOs are real, but we
still do not have a single piece of solid evidence that proves, aliens and flying saucers are in fact
real. For the past few years people have been reporting alien sightings, but none of them have been
fully proven. Scientists and other officials have proven them to be wrong again and again with
government explanations. Aliens are extraterrestrial creatures that do not exist. In the cases of
Roswell, area 51, and alien abduction, actual facts have proven that they were indeed
misunderstandings by the public that caused people to think that there were alien and UFO
sightings.
Roswell is perhaps one of the most famous alien reportings that has sparked the interest of many
humans. The so claimed UFO pieces of debris that were found near Roswell, New Mexico were
actually the remains of a military balloon. History, an informational website reveals that, "Project
Mogul used sturdy, high–altitude balloons to carry low–frequency sound sensors into the
tropopause, a faraway part of the Earth's atmosphere that acts as a sound channel." At the time, the

The Merriam–Webster dictionary describes UFOs as, "An unidentified flying object." The fact that
people call flying saucers UFOs admit that they do not even know what was seen. Since UFOs are
unidentified, people cannot automatically assume that they are flying saucers. Many of these cases
were just mission aircrafts and military or government testings that were hidden from us to keep the
missions undercover. Also, photo evidence can be fabricated with photoshop and most of the photos

Roswell Incident
The Rendlesham Forest incident, or better known as it's nickname "Britain's Roswell, occurred over
a series of nights in December 1980. According to numerous reports from cops, citizens and military
commanders the UK may have dodged a potential UFO nuclear attack 35 years ago.
TRIANGULAR UFO TRIED TO STEAL NUCLEAR WEAPONS The days surrounding Christmas
are always filled with some magic in the air but UFO's are not normally part of the celebration.
Aliens on December 26th, 1980 did not get that memo as reports of triangular shaped craft landing
in the UK received some attention from authorities. Ex–cops have claimed that they first saw the
lights touchdown in the forest near a military base which cut off communication systems for about
40 minutes. Later on,the cops went to investigate which lead to a finding of 1.5inch impact holes,
damage to the trees and increased radiation in the area. What little reports there are have been all but
silenced in recent years. One ex–cop believes the government is to blame due to the relation of
nuclear weapons. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Alien invasion has been on the minds of many, and it is not something to take lightly. Aliens are
real, the United States government has confirmed this, and these craft may be even closer than some
claim. Unexplainable UFO sightings have been on the rise, popularized with the crash at Roswell,
and they are not going anywhere. The fact that aliens are involved in these sightings is indisputable,
but there are people who refuse to accept the truth. Many people state that Area 51 is just a "military
base" and Roswell was just a spy balloon crash, but there is proof that there are aliens involved in
both Area 51 and Roswell. Area 51 and the Roswell crash have been at the center of UFO watchers

While all potential tourists have different views on what they find interesting, fun or exciting to do
while they are enjoying their leisure time, it is assumed that all individuals enjoy "real experiences,

tourists want to feel like they are on vacation. A potential tourist wants to be entertained and
therefore, young couples, or young singles may want to explore what another town has to offer
because it is assumed that the younger generation enjoys "attending concerts, sightseeing,
nightclubs, bars, eating out and coffee shops" (Smith et al., 5). However, in regards to families, it is

Essay on The UFO Incident of Roswell, New Mexico
Ever look up at the sky and just wonder if there is life anywhere else? Have you seen anything in the
sky that is almost unexplainable? What if your thoughts really came true? The thought of the
existence of aliens seems to have been around since the beginning of time. There is one incident in
particular that really hits home when talking about the subject, the UFO incident of Roswell, New
Mexico. Around June 25th, 1947 a pilot, Ken Arnold had reported strange objects in the sky while
flying near Mt. Rainer, Washington. He stated that they flew like "saucers being skipped over
water." This was where the term "Flying Saucers" derived from. The Roswell UFO Incident all

He also stated that they were thin like foil, would not burn or bend, and had unknown characters on
them in two different colors. While the investigation was developing, Glenn Dennis, a mortician
working at Ballard Funeral Home, received calls from the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) morgue.
It was stated that the mortuary officer at the RAAF was trying to get small sealed coffins and
wanted to know how to preserves bodies that were exposed to weather. Dennis would then drive to
the hospital, where he had stated he saw strange pieces of wreckage and one inside an ambulance.
As he entered the hospital to talk to a nurse that he knew, he was threatened by military police to
leave. The nurse that he was meeting with told him of the bodies and drew them on a notepad.
Within a few days the nurse was transferred to England, where her whereabouts are still unknown.
On July 8, the RAAF public information officer Walter Haut made a press release that stated that a
flying disk was recovered at the crash site. Many people who had tried to go near the crash site were
ushered out of the area. The government had been involved with the situation as soon as they were
actually briefed on what had happened at Roswell. The Roswell Incident was not very publicized as
much when it originally happened, but about 30 years later it was brought back to attention by
physicist and ufologist Stanton T. Friendman, who interviewed Maj. Jesse Marcel. Marcel stated that

In the late 40s and early 50s there were several reports of suspected UFOs and there was even one
very famous case of a crashed ship on a ranch outside the town of Roswell New Mexico. The farmer
reported strange unidentifiable materials and cables in his pasture and alerted the authorities at the
nearby military base. Once on the scene the officials quickly gathered up all the debris and took it
back to the base to examine it. Everyone got into an excitement over the reported "flying disc" that
was recovered. But the next day, Brigadier General Roger Ramey held a press conference and
announced that the "hoopla" (http://www.history.com/topics/roswell/print) had been about nothing
more than a weather balloon. It was at this point that the conspiracy began because although the
government had reported it as a mistaken weather balloon, many still firmly believe that an alien
spacecraft was recovered. Much fanfare has been made over the dozens or even hundreds of so

would be unknown. Secrecy and mystery are involved in many aspects of what is known as "The
Roswell Incident". A UFO cover up or a harmless balloon are two of the major debated theories as
to what crashed near roswell in 1947. Although it's known for sure something crashed in New
Mexico, 1947,the big question is what. This question has been debated for more than 30 years. In
1947 a Rancher discovered wreckage near his ranch. The next day he drove some of the debris to

Looking to prove this theory, Stanton Friedman who is a nuclear physicist argues the rancher
couldn't have mistaken a weather balloon for a spacecraft because weather balloons landed on his
property all the time(Steiger 2). Now that it's clear to see that the rancher had experience with
weather balloons it makes it easier to trust his judgment on what is a weather balloon and what is
not. Now to the idea that not only did a UFO crash in roswell but a government cover up also took
place. When government held a press conference over the incident, photographers displayed images
of debris that resembled a weather balloon. The problem was that the citizens at the conference that
had been to the crash site themselves say that the images did not match what they had actually
saw(Netzley 2). Furthermore, "Some witnesses even say that the government threatened them with
violence if they revealed what they knew. Perhaps as a result of this secrecy, no one associated with
the military spoke about the Roswell incident for many years. Then Jesse Marcel learned that he was
dying of cancer and decided to tell reporters everything he knew about the incident. Soon other

The Roswell Incident This world we live in can be a mystery, and because of that there are people
out their dedicating their lives to solving the unknown. So when the Roswell incident accured there
was a massive rush down south to figure out exactly what happened and where this Unidentified
Flying Object (UFO) came from. When this event got public the local townspeople got out that the
entire thing was from another planet entirely. After the government stated that the material was from
a weather balloon, some people thought it was a cover up for what it actually was. I'd like to make
three brief points on why I think the Roswell incident and this discovery of "UFOs" is fake. First
off, I'd like to say how people originally thought of the UFOs as Extra Terrestrial beings. Although I
guess people looked over the fact that the material that the "UFO" contained a human made
material. The people of Roswell turned this into a big story with a major assumption that the
material came from space, but I don't think they have much evidence for that. With all these people

My three topics ran through my ideas that I came up with such as how the Weather Balloon could've
been a hoax but how it also wasn't. How the material the Object was made of was human made and
not something the government couldn't identify, and how the current time period was during an
active war where anything could've happened. With this I'd like to say that I believe that the Roswell
incident was fake and completely over exaggerated and how people thought it was cool to go out
and pretend to see UFOs was kind of dumb. I know for sure that they were either planes or other
man made machines that people like to make things out of. I learned from this story to never trust

US authorities stated explicitly that this was a flying saucer or disk. Numerous witnesses reported
seeing metallic debris scattered over a wide area and at least one reported seeing a blazing craft

Within hours of the army telling reporters that it had recovered a crashed saucer, senior officers
insisted that the only thing that had fallen from the sky had been a weather balloon. A report by the
Office of the Secretary of the Air Force released in 1995, concluded that the reported recovered
material in 1947 was likely debris from a secret government program called Project Mogul, which
involved high altitude balloons meant to detect sound waves generated by Soviet atom bomb tests
and ballistic missiles. A second report, released in 1997, concluded that reports of alien bodies were
likely a combination of innocently transformed memories of military accidents involving injured or
killed personnel, and the recovery of anthropomorphic dummies in military programs like Project
High Dive conducted in the 1950s. Since the late 1990s the debate about Roswell has polarized with
several former pro UFO researchers concluding that the craft was, indeed, part of a US military
project and that it was, most likely, some sort of weather balloon. But further evidence has emerged
– notably a signed affidavit by Walter Haut, the Roswell Army Air Field public affairs officer who
had drafted the initial press release on July 8, 1947. Haut says the in the affidavit singed in 2002 that

What really happened in Roswell?
For more than 60 years, the debate between reality and conspiracy has raged on with the concept of
aliens in the center(History.com Staff). In Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 what is believed by
conspiracy theorists to be a flying saucer was found in a rancher's sheep pasture. The idea that
exterrestrial life could possibly exist may seem out of this world to some. But, to an entire town of
people, the idea is not as far fetched.
So, what are aliens? Aliens are exterrestrial beings that allegedly live in outer space and did not
originate from Earth. Outer space is incomprehensibly massive. The galaxy in which human beings
live is referred to as the Milky Way, and there are an estimated 100 billion planets in that one galaxy
alone(SPACE.com Staff). Seth Shostak, an American astronomer and a Senior Astronomer for the

expected of any rich, handsome and athletic man, I had many female conquests. Ladies who were
usually delighted by my attention and performance in bed. Also realizing I was never keen on
marriage, many accepted it as the price of being seen in my company, while I let go of those trying

Examples Of Roswell Conspiracy
Roswell Conspiracy Conspiracy theories have always been easy to spread amongst the American
population due to common lack of trust for the American government. An example of which being
the incident of Roswell, New Mexico. On one dreadful summer night in 1947, something crashed in
a corn field in the middle of New Mexico. Little was known of what crashed that night, and it was
because of this lack of identity that caused the common population to assume the worst, an
extraterrestrial encounter. Slightly before this news of an alien spaceship crash, there were numerous
reports of flying saucers being seen flying above Roswell, New Mexico (DiSpezio para 12). It was
because of this increased interest in such things as extraterrestrial life that ... Show more content on

At the time, this was biggest thing to happen in America and everyone was interested in this incident
and the conspiracies that came with it. Such rumors as there being a surviving extraterrestrial
creature that came with the crash soon entertained the people of America (Park para 17). Due to all
the different stories being told to the public, people started to just say that there was an incident in
Roswell that had to do with an extraterrestrial encounter and the government was covering it up. It
was not until decades later in 1994 that the military decided to come clean. According to their
report, the remains of the wreckage found on that night were not of any kind of spaceship, but
instead of a crashed weather balloon apart of a secret mission called Project Mogul (DiSpezio para
14). By 1997 the Air Force had gathered all information related to the Roswell incident and formed
a formal report. The formal report drew one of the biggest crowds on record for the Pentagon press
conference (Park para 24). Although the report was officially released, it was still far too late. The
government hoped that the report would change people's mind about the whole conspiracy, but
anything they did was seen as a conspiracy. Everything that has ever been said by the government
after that original report of a flying disc being recovered has been

The Roswell Incident Essays

  • 1. The Roswell Incident Essays The Roswell Incident: Fact, Fiction or Military Cover Up?      Some time in July of 1947, a mysterious flying object zigzagged across the skies of New Mexico. Within twenty–four hours the object disappeared from radar just as mysteriously as it had appeared. It was last seen in a small town in the middle of the Arizona desert, it's name, Roswell.      The Roswell incident is one of the most publicized and well–known accounts of a possible UFO crash in the world. Perhaps the greatest evidence that a UFO did indeed crash near Roswell, is the wide scale military cover up that took place after the crash. This along with numerous eyewitness accounts of the crash site, prove that what ever ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... General Hoyt S. Vandenberg, to take control of the news coming out of Roswell. It was with Vandenberg's arrival that the military cover up began. Within a few hours the associated press was told that Marcel had been mistaken and that infact it was a weather balloon that had crashed not a UFO. Journalists were permitted to take photographs of the debris. Years later researchers Kevin D. Randle and Donald R. Schmitt discovered that "The original debris was replaced by balloon wreckage.minutes before newsmen were ushered in."(Dudley 32) Mirabile 3      Some of the most intrigueing information about the Roswell incident comes from eyewitnesses. The military cover up did not come out until years later because "Some of the eyewitnesses say they were told at the time by military personell that they, and members of their families, would be killed if they ever talked about what they had seen."(Wright 107)      Bill Brazel's son remembers his father being held for eight days by the military and was only released after promising to keep quite. When his son enquired about the incident he was told that he was safer not knowing. Bill Brazel is quoted as having said "I'm sure what I saw was not any kind of weather observation balloon." • 5. Theories Of The Roswell Crash Late one summer night in July of 1947, a couple saw a large glowing object quickly fly across the sky. It was later reported that a weather balloon crashed nearby. People have often wondered if it actually was a weather balloon, and some have believed it to be a downed alien craft that the government covered up. Theories about a Roswell coverup did not become widely known to the American public until a few decades after the crash. This change in public knowledge demonstrates the variability of conspiracy theories––some become popular immediately following the events they try to explain, and some can take years to catch on. From the crash in Roswell in 1947 to current day, America's public knowledge of theories about Roswell has grown at an unsteady pace, driven by the types of technology used to disseminate information. America's knowledge of the Roswell incident has developed in three phases. First, immediately after the crash in 1947, there was some attention given to the crash, but it was mostly local news reports. Second, after the testimony in 1984 of an eyewitness who was a major in the air force, conspiracies blossomed. Finally, after interest diminished had begun to diminish, the internet ignited another increase in Roswell theories. Aside from the immediate attention the crash garnered in 1947, from the time of the crash in 1947 to the early 1980s, there was little to no knowledge of Roswell theories. Televisions were still a relatively new invention which had not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Roswell And Ufos This essay will be about how the perspective of Roswell/UFO's have changed over time. How after this incident, UFO's have been seen all over the world. In America, over 80% of it's population now believe that UFO's exist (Wilson). Now for what reason would so many people start to believe that UFO's exist. Will aliens were believed way before this era, because people have said there's no way we're the only people in the billions of galaxies. There was no evidence or proof of aliens being encountered with, but after Roswell's incident, it led to innumerable amounts of people believing that aliens do exist. First, Roswell's incident was claimed to be the first encounter with aliens. The first proof that aliens could exist. When the scene had happened, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It could lead to different shocking outcomes that only the government could imagine. But of course why, will first if someone is very religious, they can say there is now way one planet in billions of galaxies only have life, but the government keeps it secret for a very alarming reason. The government does not want us to be scared or alarmed (THE UFO COVER–UP). It's a very protective reason for the world to not go into panic and havoc (The UFO COVER–UP).Because of the reasonings, this shows that aliens exist. For example. it's like hiding something that you know you've done wrong but can't hide. Giving new explanations and cover up proving it doesn't exist when all these occurrences have already taken place. There's no way of hiding that the government is just blinding the public from UFO's, making us worry about our own lives, and our own self belief. (The UFO COVER–UP). In conclusion, Roswell's incident has been proven that a UFO has crashed near this area. From why the military had covered up this situation so quickly, with all the new sightings, evidence proving aliens have been encountered with at Roswell. Also with the government secrecy, Area 51 being so secretive, military never giving out word about aliens from all the occurrences that have taken. These all gives reason for people to believe that aliens do exist. Proving that this incident might have been the first and also proving that this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. The 1947 Roswell Crash Essay In 1947, an unidentified flying object crashed into the small town of Roswell, New Mexico. The United States Air Force published a report in 1994. So why do conspiracists still believe an alien crashed into Roswell? After a hot humid day in July 1947, severe and violent thunderstorms filled the night sky. Long time farmer, Mac Brazel was used to thunder, and storms out in the country. Although something about this night was different. He heard an extremely loud crash, though didn't think much of it. The next morning however, Brazel stumbled upon the debris of a strange object on his farm. Brazel brought some of the material to a nearby neighbor who urged him to report his find in hopes of getting a reward. Brazel informed the sheriff ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A nurse friend of Dennis confides in him that she was called by doctors to assist in an alien autopsy. Even though she is sworn to secrecy, she must confide in someone. She meets Dennis and draws him a sketch of what she observed during the "alien autopsy". Strangely enough, she was transferred from the funeral home shortly after and never heard from again. The news of the crash soon starts to fade away, and within the end of the year disappears from the news altogether. Nearly 30 years later, in 1978, Stanton Friedman was prompted to revisit the crash. Stanton Friedman was an unemployed scientist, and a part–time UFO lecturer. On February 12, 1978 Friedman interviewed a man over the phone who said he handled the wreckage of a crashed spaceship, but the man, Major Jesse Marcel, couldn't remember the month or even the year of the event. Marcel expressed that he believed the military had covered up the recovery of an alien spacecraft. Approximately one year later, William Moore, a colleague of Friedman, found newspaper clippings of the even that Marcel referred to. The research that Friedman and Moore uncovered has made the Roswell crash the most celebrated case in the literature of UFOs. In February of 1980, the National Inquirer ran the interview of Marcel and Friedman bringing in national and worldwide attention ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. Speech On Roswell Incident 1947 Speech on the Roswell incident 1947 Can you imagine the U.S government lying to the public to cover up extraterrestrial life? According to the widely held public opinion, near Roswell, New Mexico, in July 1947 the United States government recovered a crashed UFO and its extraterrestrial occupants. This was referred to as the "Roswell Incident" and the U.S. military had covered the issue up quickly. The original story in the eyes of 'non–UFO buffs' for this conspiracy is that on the fourth of July weekend 1947 a rancher William Brazel reported to the sheriff that he recover the remains of "one of them flying saucers" the military was then contacted and Major Jesse Marcel was assigned to investigate the site. On the 8th of July 1947 after Marcel and 2 Counter Intelligence Corps agents examined and collected the wreckage there was an announcement to the public that they recovered the remains of a "flying disc". But the next day this was clarified in a press conference that what was recovered was only a weather balloon and nothing more. This has killed the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Out of these 25 only 7 are first hand sources that claim they saw the alleged saucer remains and only 5 say they handled the material personally and 1 of them claim that the material was not from an extraterrestrial spacecraft. This is a description of an extraterrestrial from the Roswell incident in the book The Day After Roswell written by Col. Philip J. Corso (Ret.) with WIlliam J. Birnes. This book is quite the interesting read to say the least. Extraterrestrials, flying saucers, and "foreign technology" are some of the complications in Corso's autobiography during his time in military intelligence working at The Pentagon. Corso describes everything between the events of a flying saucer crash that occurred in Roswell, NM. on July 4, 1947 to the modern day technology that the United States has managed to reverse engineer due to the crash. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He was head of the project. Corso was diving much deeper than just the surface of a U.F.O. conspiracy theory. If anyone's story should be believed it should be Corso's. It is easy to dismiss many of the eyewitness reports, as after a while everyone was an "eyewitness" just to get some fame. Corso actually worked on the project in The Pentagon. Many people believe this story is too outlandish to believe. This is the strategy that The Foreign Technology Desk decided to go for. Between the time of the Roswell crash and the beginning of The Foreign Technology Desk, the Air Force had branched off from the Army, taking artifacts with it. This added another layer to difficulty to keeping the story secret. At first, the military blew off the Roswell crash as a weather balloon and threatened majority of the eye witnesses. This had kept them quiet for a while but people eventually talk. The military decided to stop covering it up and would leak little bits of information to people who would make something out of it. Corso states, "This was called camouflage with limited exposure" (85). This was in order to make the talking witnesses to look like nut jobs. If they denied it like it was nothing, then the media thought it was nothing. Eventually tabloids would buy the stories and then the credibility was lost. This built an alien ... Things that were once landmarks of Roswell are now faint memories. Many existed so many years ago that the underclassmen have no recollection of the hidden gems in Roswell's past. Some of the things he discovered seemed strange to him because they appeared on his land and he was extremely familiar with every square foot of that land and knew the strange objects didn't belong to him. What he found included metals, plastics, and foil reflectors, which were held together by tape forming some sort of apparatus. Not knowing what to do, he gathered up the objects and contacted the Roswell Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff didn't know what to do with the material either, so he contacted the local U.S. Air Force base in hopes that they could get to the bottom of these unusual disturbances on the Brazel Ranch. Area 51 and the Roswell crash have been at the center of UFO watchers and conspiracy theorists for decades, and for obvious reasons. Roswell sparked a flame that doesn't seem to go out, it all started as an unknown object crashed near a town in the middle of nowhere. Bushman continued to confirm that there were, in fact, aliens in Area 51, even confirming that "aliens themselves have worked in the military base, sometimes dying inside Area 51" (Depra). While some people will say this could be a joke, Dianne Depra has a very good rebuttal to that sentiment, "What's a dying man to lose or gain from telling the truth? Nothing. This adds credibility to the words of Boyd Bushman, former Area 51 scientist who spilled the beans on aliens and UFOs in his last days," (Depra) It wouldn't be too far off to assume that the US government was also in possession of the space craft that brought the Aliens, Bushman also claims to have reverse engineered alien technology for the military ... • 117. Essay on The UFO Incident of Roswell, New Mexico Ever look up at the sky and just wonder if there is life anywhere else? Have you seen anything in the sky that is almost unexplainable? What if your thoughts really came true? The thought of the existence of aliens seems to have been around since the beginning of time. There is one incident in particular that really hits home when talking about the subject, the UFO incident of Roswell, New Mexico. Around June 25th, 1947 a pilot, Ken Arnold had reported strange objects in the sky while flying near Mt. Rainer, Washington. He stated that they flew like "saucers being skipped over water." This was where the term "Flying Saucers" derived from. The Roswell UFO Incident all started on the evening of July 3, 1947, Dan Wilmot and his wife were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He also stated that they were thin like foil, would not burn or bend, and had unknown characters on them in two different colors. While the investigation was developing, Glenn Dennis, a mortician working at Ballard Funeral Home, received calls from the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF) morgue. It was stated that the mortuary officer at the RAAF was trying to get small sealed coffins and wanted to know how to preserves bodies that were exposed to weather. Dennis would then drive to the hospital, where he had stated he saw strange pieces of wreckage and one inside an ambulance. As he entered the hospital to talk to a nurse that he knew, he was threatened by military police to leave. The nurse that he was meeting with told him of the bodies and drew them on a notepad. Within a few days the nurse was transferred to England, where her whereabouts are still unknown. On July 8, the RAAF public information officer Walter Haut made a press release that stated that a flying disk was recovered at the crash site. Many people who had tried to go near the crash site were ushered out of the area. The government had been involved with the situation as soon as they were actually briefed on what had happened at Roswell. The Roswell Incident was not very publicized as much when it originally happened, but about 30 years later it was brought back to attention by physicist and ufologist Stanton T. Roswell Conspiracy In the late 40s and early 50s there were several reports of suspected UFOs and there was even one very famous case of a crashed ship on a ranch outside the town of Roswell New Mexico. The farmer reported strange unidentifiable materials and cables in his pasture and alerted the authorities at the nearby military base. Once on the scene the officials quickly gathered up all the debris and took it back to the base to examine it. Everyone got into an excitement over the reported "flying disc" that was recovered. But the next day, Brigadier General Roger Ramey held a press conference and announced that the "hoopla" (http://www.history.com/topics/roswell/print) had been about nothing more than a weather balloon. It was at this point that the conspiracy began because although the government had reported it as a mistaken weather balloon, many still firmly believe that an alien spacecraft was recovered. They intended to spy on the Russians to learn about their nuclear weapons advancements. For example if everyone told the truth openly not much would be unknown. Secrecy and mystery are involved in many aspects of what is known as "The Roswell Incident". A UFO cover up or a harmless balloon are two of the major debated theories as to what crashed near roswell in 1947. Although it's known for sure something crashed in New Mexico, 1947,the big question is what. This question has been debated for more than 30 years. In 1947 a Rancher discovered wreckage near his ranch. The next day he drove some of the debris to Corona, NM where he spoke privately to the Lincoln County Sheriff and said he might ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Looking to prove this theory, Stanton Friedman who is a nuclear physicist argues the rancher couldn't have mistaken a weather balloon for a spacecraft because weather balloons landed on his property all the time(Steiger 2). Now that it's clear to see that the rancher had experience with weather balloons it makes it easier to trust his judgment on what is a weather balloon and what is not. Now to the idea that not only did a UFO crash in roswell but a government cover up also took place. When government held a press conference over the incident, photographers displayed images of debris that resembled a weather balloon. The problem was that the citizens at the conference that had been to the crash site themselves say that the images did not match what they had actually saw(Netzley 2). Furthermore, "Some witnesses even say that the government threatened them with violence if they revealed what they knew. Perhaps as a result of this secrecy, no one associated with the military spoke about the Roswell incident for many years. Then Jesse Marcel learned that he was dying of cancer and decided to tell reporters everything he knew about the incident. • 129. Roswell Incident Research Paper The Roswell Incident This world we live in can be a mystery, and because of that there are people out their dedicating their lives to solving the unknown. So when the Roswell incident accured there was a massive rush down south to figure out exactly what happened and where this Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) came from. When this event got public the local townspeople got out that the entire thing was from another planet entirely. After the government stated that the material was from a weather balloon, some people thought it was a cover up for what it actually was. I'd like to make three brief points on why I think the Roswell incident and this discovery of "UFOs" is fake. First off, I'd like to say how people originally thought of the UFOs as Extra Terrestrial beings. Although I guess people looked over the fact that the material that the "UFO" contained a human made material. The people of Roswell turned this into a big story with a major assumption that the material came from space, but I don't think they have much evidence for that. With all these people coming up with random ideas as to what may have landed in that farmers field in 1947, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... My three topics ran through my ideas that I came up with such as how the Weather Balloon could've been a hoax but how it also wasn't. How the material the Object was made of was human made and not something the government couldn't identify, and how the current time period was during an active war where anything could've happened. With this I'd like to say that I believe that the Roswell incident was fake and completely over exaggerated and how people thought it was cool to go out and pretend to see UFOs was kind of dumb. I know for sure that they were either planes or other man made machines that people like to make things out of. I learned from this story to never trust things with very little ... Roswell Conspiracy Theories Noah Barnes Mr. Musick ELA 10 11/2/17 A flying saucer crashed at Roswell in 1947 The event that kick–started more than a half century of conspiracy theories surrounding unidentified flying objects UFOs. Something did crash at Roswell, New Mexico, sometime before July 7, 1947 and at first the US authorities stated explicitly that this was a flying saucer or disk. Numerous witnesses reported seeing metallic debris scattered over a wide area and at least one reported seeing a blazing craft crossing the sky shortly before it crashed. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Within hours of the army telling reporters that it had recovered a crashed saucer, senior officers insisted that the only thing that had fallen from the sky had been a weather balloon. A report by the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force released in 1995, concluded that the reported recovered material in 1947 was likely debris from a secret government program called Project Mogul, which involved high altitude balloons meant to detect sound waves generated by Soviet atom bomb tests and ballistic missiles. A second report, released in 1997, concluded that reports of alien bodies were likely a combination of innocently transformed memories of military accidents involving injured or killed personnel, and the recovery of anthropomorphic dummies in military programs like Project High Dive conducted in the 1950s. Since the late 1990s the debate about Roswell has polarized with several former pro UFO researchers concluding that the craft was, indeed, part of a US military project and that it was, most likely, some sort of weather balloon. But further evidence has emerged – notably a signed affidavit by Walter Haut, the Roswell Army Air Field public affairs officer who had drafted the initial press release on July 8, 1947. For more than 60 years, the debate between reality and conspiracy has raged on with the concept of aliens in the center(History.com Staff). In Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 what is believed by conspiracy theorists to be a flying saucer was found in a rancher's sheep pasture. The idea that exterrestrial life could possibly exist may seem out of this world to some. But, to an entire town of people, the idea is not as far fetched. So, what are aliens? Aliens are exterrestrial beings that allegedly live in outer space and did not originate from Earth. Outer space is incomprehensibly massive.
