- Not all of the education we receive is important. We have our own preference. If only we can choose our education the way we choose our meals.
- There is a minimum level of education required for success. But once we choose our career, we can’t never stop learning if we want to succeed.
- The grass is always greener on the other side. We may consider others as successful, even when they may not agree.
- Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is success.
- The only true security is in developing your talents and abilities.

- Value Proposition is crucial. You, as a product, needs to fit in with what the market wants. How are you planning to do that with an ever-changing marketplace? Ignore your passion first, if you’re not adapting your skills as fast as the changes in the marketplace, you won’t even get a job.
- You don’t have to be the expert. You can just be an expert. The expert in anything was once a beginner. Someone will be an expert in your field. Why not you?
- 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
- 13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
- Both your job and your career require some level of skills. Skills can only be acquired through education and experience.
- Identify your strengths and weaknesses. Focus on your strengths, increase your growth rate, and become an expert. Outsource your weaknesses, unless it’s a required core competency.
- 23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. 24 Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
- Knowledge is the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. Skills are the proficiencies developed through training or experience. Skills are usually something that has been learned. So, we can develop our skills through transfer of knowledge. An ability is a strength that is innate to the person — though it can be improved. Education is about learning, but most of us don’t know the way learning works. What is our natural learning process? How do we manage knowledge?
- DIKW Pyramid is a model representing how human manages knowledge. Data is a collection of points with no discernible meaning. Information is data in context. Knowledge is information that has been assimilated in the mind. Wisdom is the application of knowledge.
- Data: It is raining. Information: The temperature dropped 10 degrees and then it started raining. Knowledge: If the humidity is very high and the temperature drops substantially, the atmosphere is often unlikely to be able to hold the moisture so it rains. Wisdom: It rains because it rains.
- 01. A child would practice walking over and over and over. 02. A child would ask humbly, honestly and eagerly. 03. You never learn much until you really want to learn. 04. Most of your knowledge is not in shape to be used. Put it into words or principles. 05. Look at it from all angles. The narrow mind stays rooted in one spot; the broad mind is free, inquiring, unprejudiced; it seeks to learn “both sides of the story.” 06. To learn, experiment! Try something new. See what happens. 07. In the very act of teaching, you will learn far more than your best pupil. 08. The secret of good reading is this: read critically! If you were face to face with him and listening instead of reading, you would be a great deal more critical than the average reader is. 09. Don’t write to remember, write to learn. 10. Pay attention to the person speaking. Contemplate the meaning of his words, the nature of his thoughts. 11. The experience of others is a ready-made set of directions on knowledge and life. Their experience is free; we need suffer none of their hardships; we may collect on all their good deeds. All we have to do is observe! 12. Order is Heaven’s first law.
