What is Compound Sentence?
The Compound sentence is the
combination of two simple sentences
(two main clauses) linked by a
comma and Coordinating conjunction
- He yelped in pain, and she grabbed
his wrists and pinned his arms.
- I think about going in my room now,
but it smells like the inside of an old
lunch bag in there.
- I could remember every detail of the
whole night, but it had the unreal
quality of a dream.
- I can't understand the lesson, so I
don't know what to do the exercise.
