Who is required to participate?
• Importers of gasoline, diesel, ethanol and
biodiesel
• Oregon producers of ethanol and biodiesel
“Importer” is the entity that owns the fuel as it
crosses into Oregon.

Why would you voluntarily opt in?
• Credits are generated by fuels that are lower
than the standard
• Each credit is 1 MMT CO2e reduction
• Credits can be used to comply with either
gasoline or diesel standard
• Credits can be transferred
• Credits do not have an expiration date

• Importers of renewable diesel
• Electric utilities and other electricity suppliers
• Owners of electric chargers
• Owner of the fueling equipment for
CNG/LNG/LPG
• Producer or importer of renewable CNG/LNG
