ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE JUSTICE PROGRAM
The NAACP ECJ Program was created to provide resources and support community leadership in
addressing this human and civil rights issue by advocating for these three objectives:
Efforts for improve renewable and energy efficiency standards,
ensure communities of color are accessing revenue generation
opportunities in the new energy economy, while providing safer,
more sustainable mechanisms for affordable energy.
Ensure that communities are equipped to engage in climate
action planning that integrates policies and practices on
advancing social justice issues including, advocating for
transportation equity.
Combines action on switching to clean, renewable and
sustainable energy, strengthen development, monitoring, and
enforcement of regulations at the federal, state and local levels.
Also includes focus on corporate responsibility and
accountability.

Point Z as quickly as possible, BUT, it is
about getting in and out of all the spaces
in between safely, affordably, and
effectively.
Quality transportation is a lifeline, AND

5. TEEM includes over 30 grassroots and environmental organizations across five
states: Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina and Virginia. Launched in 2020,
TEEM cultivates peer learning and advocacy at the intersections of mobility equity,
community building, and transportation electrification.
