2. Magazine Pitch
My magazine will be full of information about the music industry in the 21st century.
It will include a music chart with music that is popular on the radio and on the internet mainly focusing in the UK
and the US. The types of music would include RnB, Indie Rock, Techno or Dance and Pop. The magazine would
also include an exclusive interview with a new band that has been recently discovered in the music world and a
band or artist that has come up to be very popular among the listeners.
My magazine is going to have a simplistic and bold theme to it to go with its price to show that is the more
sophisticated magazine in the market like Billboard, Q and NME magazine. The pricing of my magazine will be
£2-£3. I have come to the conclusion that I will charge this amount because of my audience research and it also
follows the pricing of the model magazine I have chosen.
The colours of my magazine consists of black , grey, red and purple which are quite simple colours and it wont
distract the readers too much with bright colours. The title of my magazine will most probably be named
Rewind, which goes with my magazine because we are looking back at the charts and exclusive interviews and
big music news to get readers up to scratch with the music industry.
The magazine will be released once every month so there will be a lot of news to read about in each new edition.
This magazine is aimed at the teenage/ young adult audience because it is a more for the older audience as it is
more sophisticated.

7. Double Page Spread
The double page spread consists of the main picture of the band/ artist that I will be
interviewing. The image will take up ¾ of the page with the actual article/interview on
the right side of the page taking up the last quarter of the double page spread. The colour
scheme on this page will be brown, white and black, which are quite earthy colours to fit
with the band/artist I am interviewing and writing about. The texts will be simple and
bold so it is easy to read and it fits with the sophistication of the magazine. The font will
be at size 12 and arranged in columns.
8. Contents Page
The contents page will take up a whole page on the front of the magazine. On the right
side of the page, there will be a box where there is a list on all the page numbers indication
and guiding the readers to what stories they want to read. There will be about 3 or 4
medium sized images on the left side of the page and more information of the other main
attraction stories in the magazine. Colour scheme will be the same as the front cover.
Something simple and bold to stand out, but not too bright.
