Science 7 - LAND and SEA BREEZE and its Characteristics
Target audience for music magazine revealed
1.
2. These results can tell me that most of
my audience are older teens (12-21)
which has the most responses with 12-
16 being 42.86% and 17-21 being 50%.
This has allowed me to realise that my
target audience should be aimed at
15-18 year olds.
This allows me to choose my target
audience closely because I can make
the magazine with the idea of late
teenagers in my mind which will help
me create the perfect magazine for
this specific audience.
3. This question gave me the
next part of my target
audience, this made me
aware that all of the people
taking part in the
questionnaire were females
which helps agree that my
target audience will be
females aged 15-18.
This means my magazine
has to be appealing to girls,
including artists and bands
that teen, girls are
interested in.
4. These answers make me aware
of the genres that most of my
audience are interested in.
R&B is the highest response with
64.29% and the second highest is
Pop with 57.14%.
I therefore will choose my final
genre between pop and R&B so
that I can attract the target
audience with the correct
genres.
5. From this set of analysis, I can see that people most pay around £1.50-£3.00
and in order to respond to the answers from my audience, I will price my
magazine at about £2.00 so that it is affordable for my target audience of
older teenagers aged 15-18
6. This information makes me
aware that my target
audience would buy a music
magazine once a month.
This helps with my planning
and decisions as I can make
a magazine that would be
released monthly, therefore it
would be full of interviews
and facts for each month
7. This question I feel was not
very useful in my survey as
it has not given me any
information that can help
me further with planning
and researching for my
media product.
It tells me, 9 out of 15
people only buy
magazines sometimes,
which could suggest that
not every single copy may
sell which could effect the
companies profit.
8. These answers inform
me that 13 out of 14
people enjoy reading
music magazines,
showing that selling
music magazines would
be useful and
companies could earn
a high profit from
producing them and
selling them as people
are interested in buying
and reading them
9. From this information I
am able to see that a
lot of the people who
answered, said their
favourite magazine was
a pop genre which can
allow me to think
deeper into the genre I
definitely want to
choose.
If more people are
buying pop magazines
then to earn a higher
profit, I should produce
a pop magazine aimed
at females aged 15-18
years old
10. Overall, from my survey analysis, I am able to see that my target
audience should be females aged 15-18 because this is the middle
section from the age range that is clear from my results. I will also
choose a pop genre as from research I can see people are highly
interested in pop interviews, boy bands and various pop artists.
My results have helped my research and planning my media product
meaning I am able to produce it to the best it can be after
understanding the type of people that I am aiming it at.
For wider research on different institutions that could sell my
magazine, I may need to search online for different companies in
order to find the perfect one so that it could earn the best profit
possible.
