2. Russian treasure
The Amur tiger, also known as the Siberian
tiger, is the smallest in number subspecies
inhabiting mainly the south-eastern part of Russia.
3. A nice kitty
The Amur tiger is a representative of the cat
family. Its fur is thicker and the colour is lighter. It is
reddish-rusty, or rusty-yellow in colour, with narrow
black stripes.
4. A lone hunter
The Amur tiger is the largest of
other tigers and the only one who got
used to living in snow. It is a true loner
and has to spend a lot of time on
hunting.
5. WWF project
Since 1994 the Amur tiger has been a number
one WWF-Russia priority as a rare and endangered
animal, included to the Russian Federation Red
Lists of Threatened Species.
