9. A range of shots (from extreme close-ups to medium shots) of the artist
10. The weather must not be rainy
otherwise the atmosphere of the
music video will be gloomy instead of
the intended summery feel to it
The actress also must be present
otherwise the image we
intended for the artist to go for
will have a drastic effect to our
plans
The filming locations
must be available to us
otherwise we have to
change the whole plan

Review:
- Musical genre is Soul and RnB
- The Artist: Young and pretty. New (possibly this is their debut single) and has a “fresh” image
- Key audience for MV:
- All ages in terms of the style and the interest in the song. 15-25 (age) in terms of relating to the song as well as sending a message through.
- Females (vast majority) – insecurities surrounding females in general.
- All ethnicities – music has no barriers in terms of the artist’s ethnic background.
- Worldwide audience (Internet/Social Media – e.g. YouTube/Vimeo/Twitter/etc.)
-
Outline of proposal
- Difficult to film outdoors and guarantee the weather but we have several ideas to give off the summery feel.
- We have choices between indoors and outdoors
- could film both indoors and outdoors?? (starts off with girl in bedroom then walks out into the city)
- exposing the artist a lot more by focusing of her only.
- hints of voyeurism but not much (maybe a few shots of exposed shoulders or legs)
(any other ones to add?)

Star Iconography
The artist is new and sells a sort of “fresh” image. As in she’s not a manufactured artist. She’s doesn’t wear heavy make-up, flashy clothing etc.
Using Close ups which makes the viewer feel closer to the artist. This also promotes the artist and style.
Intertextual reference
Using other videos such as ‘f(x) Pink Tape – Art Film’.
Maybe a close up of the artist wearing headphones with her eyes closed and smiling
Pastel colours??? Not too bold or bright
OTSU:
Lighting/layout of bedroom problems
The weather MUST be sunny (doesn’t have to be hot though) otherwise plans to make it look a bit “summery” will fail
