2. Research for thriller audience
According to the FDA yearbook people between the
age of 15-14 which is near exact to our target audience
age range visited the cinema the most in 2011.
Thrillers are mostly watched by 16-20 year
olds, meaning that our thriller can appeal to most of our
target audience.
3. Research for psychological
audiences
Luckily, the audience for psychological thrillers is really
quite broad.
The age range would probably be around the same as the
one for our own movie, if not even wider.
4. Our target audience
Our target audience had been from the age range of 16
– 25 years of age of a mixed gender.
I think we have achieved this as when asking people in
this age range if they had liked it, they said they had.
We researched more on social media sites to see what
age range liked our thriller most and this is what we
came up with:
6. Kaitlin Mitchell
A 17 year old living in Islington, London (where our
thriller was based at) who has enjoyed and shared
Mortuus with her friends.
Kaitlin is a prime example of the target audience that
we were going for.
She’s 17 - like us in the movie and a key target from
our audience.
She’s a girl – Although our film was targeted at both
genders, it was mostly for girls as we thought they
would relate to it more.
