2. Youtube is basically a video-sharing website on
which anyone can watch videos uploaded by
users, who also can share, comment and/or rate
the content, as well as flagging it inappropriate
where necessary.
It was founded in February
2005 by Chad Hurley, Steve
Chen, and Jawed Karim.

3. When YouTube was found, there were other
video-sharing websites in the market already, but
what made it grow so fast in such short notice
was it allowed anyone sign up, watch and upload
an unlimited amount of videos, and got updated
with new features constantly, which were free.

4. YouTube, unlike movies or TV, is more of a
lean forward experience…
Rating videos, leaving comments, subscribing,
making playlists…
These are things that change YouTube to fit you.
These are interactions.

5. Interactions are
everything you do
aside from actually
watching a video.
But YouTube is more than just interactions, it is another part
of your connections.

6. You’re not just watching the video. You’re reading the
comments, clicking on the annotations, looking at the
related videos, and seeing what other people have to say.

7. YouTube is a way of
communication, but unlike the
traditional media, the user
has a say in the
content, instead of just
consuming what is given.
Not just a
website, but a
community. Its
people changing
it to fit their
individual styles.
