Project Overview
This RSA® Security, Inc. (“RSA”) Service Brief details the RSA enVision™ SureStart ES. This engagement
provides for the deployment of one enVision ES appliance installation to provide a baseline, functional security
information and event management (SIEM) system.
Project Scope
RSA personnel or authorized agents shall be assigned to work closely with Customer staff to perform the
following services (“Services”) within the Term specified above:
• Meet with the Customer to ensure that the environment and operational implementation requirements
(hardware, software, and infrastructure) are met by Customer, and provide the Customer with a list of
required or beneficial updates.
• Perform the Services within the Customer’s environment as defined in this Service Brief.
• Plan and schedule the engagement’s installation and configuration tasks.
• Conduct pre-engagement teleconference consultation.
• Unpack appliance, attach rails, rack and stack and validate power, if RSA supplied NAS is not purchased
• Perform the on-site physical installation of the ES appliance.
• Install the enVision software updates and VAM updates on the appliance as needed.
• Complete the enVision registration and licensing tasks with the Customer.
• Assist the Customer with the enVision event source collection/discovery from one of each supported
vendor event source type, up to 20 supported event sources from up to five (5) discrete device types (as
time permits).
• Develop any combination of up to 10 customized reports and/or alerts:
Configuration of reports based on the native standard report templates.
Configuration of custom alerts based on Customer’s preferred alert mechanism of
SNMP/SMTP/MMS.
• Perform integration with DAS (required for ES appliance models 560 and above).
• Install and configure Event Explorer to a client workstation
• Conduct a basic product Functional Overview to familiarize the Customer with the implemented enVision
SureStart, demonstrating the normal operations as installed in the Customer’s environment.
Note: Such Functional Overview relates to the Customer’s security environment and is not a substitute
for the formal RSA product Customer Education courses available. RSA strongly encourages
attendance at Customer Education classes to gain further insight into the product architecture and
