The Valentine's Fair in Nueva Esperanza is a three-day fair held each February 14-16 to honor the patron saint Valentine. Events include dances, sports competitions, prizes for winners, cockfights, fireworks, and fun races. While originally religious in nature, the fair has become more commercial. Musicians from different places perform, and locals provide food and lodging for them. Novenas are celebrated daily during the fair, and the image of Valentine is processed through the streets.
