Loyalty implies sticking with someone or something even if it goes
against your own self-interest. Especially in business, loyalty carries the
expectation that you will be rewarded for this allegiance.

employee loyalty.
• Loyalty changes over time - 80% of the respondents indicated that it had
several factors contributed to decreased levels of loyalty (downsizing,
mergers, low job satisfaction etc.)
• Loyalty diminishes - One of the chief reasons for this is that hard work
and extra effort are assumed, or required, as the norm by the
organization, rather than being recognized and rewarded.

influence is job satisfaction, changing management and reorganizing
groups lowers my loyalty , salary 70%, family considerations (birth of a
child, schedule doctor appointments and other personal matters) 67%, and
lastly, corporate benefits 56% which placed seventh on the list.

• Do your job and do it well — loyal to yourself.

• Good communication – less of modern technology, such as e-mail and
teleconferencing and more of face-to-face interaction to avoid
disconnection.
