 Healthcare Recruiter, like any other human resource specialist,
works towards the recruitment of experts in the medical industry.
 These recruiters connect physical therapists, nurses, occupational
therapists, physicians and another medical professional with jobs,
whether permanent or contract.
 Whether you are a fresh graduate or a professional with no similar
background, you can still opt for this career option.
 Taking up a course offered in this field will get you ready to
become a medical recruiter. A healthcare professional needs to
understand the area he is working in and need to possess a
specific set of skills.
 Communication: This job is not for someone who
cannot talk. The profession needs you to call up a
hundred people a day and get to know them. Having
excellent communication skills is a must, and you
cannot do without it.
 Verbal and written, you require both sets of skills.
Explaining to people what you need, understanding
what they convey, writing emails, text messages, job
applications, are all part of the job.
 So make sure your communication game is strong.

 Memory Power: As mentioned in the previous point,
you are going to be talking to hundreds of people over
the phone and might not get to see them.
 They all have different needs, and your memory is the
only way you will be able to cater to all their
requirements.
 A great memory will help you be good at what you do
and handle multiple requests without messing around
with anything. So a Healthcare Recruiter needs to have a
sharp mind.
 Relationship Building: You communication needs to
be such that people you talk to can connect with you.
Speaking to a recruiter requires professionals to share
personal and vital information with you, and if they do
not feel sharing this information with you, then you
cannot help them or yourself.
 You need to have a relationship building attitude and try
to connect with people.
 Try to get to know them and invest time in your clients,
so they know for sure that you are someone who can be
trusted.
 Resilience: This by far is the most essential quality that
a Healthcare recruiter should have.
 Failure is inevitable. Sometimes it so happens that the
professionals and the job don’t match up well and
sometimes they might.
 But if you let rejection or failure affects you, then you
cannot survive in this profession. You need to have the
ability to bounce back from such situations and stay
positive.
 These are not the only qualities you require. Diligence,
hard work, honesty, adaptability and the ability to listen,
these are just a few more that you should have when
trying to get into a profession like this.
 This career is challenging and but if you have what it
takes to succeed, then it’s worth giving a try.
